@@badlndss stupid!! He didn't knew meleys would happen he just went to ser criston as he was willing to do the previous episode. Also for a rookie dragon to challenge and try taking on a much larger, faster and experienced war dragon was valour. He indeed was Fearsome.
@@Durran196 going to Ser Criston as he was advised not to do: stupid for the first time.. thinking he could go to battle without any experience other than drinking and harassing maids and keeping in mind that he wouldn't encounter any dragons: stupid for the second time. Don't get me wrong, I'm seeing what they're doing to him and his connection with Sunfyre is the best represented so far and that's precisely why he needs to think before acting and putting himself and his dragon in a situation like this (where even Aemond wants his head)

Whether you like or hate Cole, his combat experience background is proving to be an asset so far. He's a good combat commander with solid battlefield instincts. The "decoy" plan he and Aemond came up with was both clever and effective. He clearly didn't expect Aegon/Sunfyre to show up and improvised, using it to rally his troops, even though it threw a wrench in the works for the original plan. Interesting that Aemond seemed to take advantage of it to let Aegon/Sunfyre and Rhaenys/Melys beat each other up before he joined the battle, and then appeared to intentionally go after Aegon as collateral damage when he did finally attack.

In the book it went down differently where it both Aegon and Aemond purposefully jumped rhaenys instead it’s Aegon that jumped into battle without thinking and put his life at risk and Aemond was literally about to take him out. But I do have a theory that he did that because he discovered the prophecy since he picked up three dagger with Aegon prophecy up on it at the end of the episode and just left Aegon writhing in pain. Aegons armor has melted due to the dragon fire and fused into his flesh which leaves him in a state where it’s almost similar to viserys where he’ll have to be on milk of the poppy to subside the pain
They changed the battle that way and some idiots says the greens are show favorite like NO WAY

I do feel bad for Aegon II. On one hand he's a shithead but he also didn't want to be king, he was pushed into being king by his mother and grandfather. And now that he's trying to be a king his mother and grandfather and everyone else is basically telling him to sit down and shut up. Team Black.

Team green may have won today but they still sustained major losses, Aegon and Sunfyre got injured and burnt pretty bad and Vhagar took some injuries, for such a small castle
But now dragonstone is surrounded by land completely

I knew it wasn't going to happen, but would have loved to see Rhaeynera vs Aemond. Sure, Aemond has Vahgar, but if Rhaeynera ran into Aemond, right after he killed her son, I could see her unleashing everything on them.

I clicked as soon as the notification popped up! This episode was 🔥🔥 I’m sad about Rhaenys, she always wanted to die as a dragon rider and she did. She did succeed in severely injuring Vhagar, which should give Rhaenyra and the others a chance against it.
I think Aegon survived, in situations like this, if they don’t show the full body chances are that character isn’t dead. And Daemon getting on my nerves, he should’ve been there with Rhaenys to help but it is what it is. I’m glad you guys enjoyed this episode, Tay and Joel!
Vhagar is eliminated from the game before Carrases and Daymond die
when viserys was younger, his mother alyssa would take her sons for rides on her dragon, meleys. now his sons have killed that dragon with his father’s dragon😭 and to make it even sadder, laena showing up in the episode where her dragon kills her mother😭😭 it’s so devastating but poetic how intertwined the dragons are with house targaryen. just look at the house targaryen we see in game of thrones with no dragons, poor, starving, in exile, it makes seeing them fight against each other in wars that could’ve been prevented even worse when we know what happens after.

also, yall already know i love sharing things for tay, so here’s a post episode interview from eve best, the actress who plays rhaenys, where she answers why she didn’t set fire to the other dragons and why she went back:
“During the fight itself, Aegon and Aemond both say "dracarys," but Rhaenys tells Meleys to "attack," which is an interesting distinction.
They're going for maximum firepower, while "attack" isn't as violent of a command.”
“That's well spotted, because exactly right. They're just like boys with guns; they want to maximize the amount of carnage. And there's something very ... I don't want to generalize, but, you know, it's very male. Whereas she's very specifically going for the dragon: Let's take out the weaponry, and don't burn everybody else randomly. also i think she went back because she has nothing to loose, all her kids being dead and vhagar is the biggest threat to team black so trying to weaken vhagar or kill her would be the biggest win, plus the guilt she prolly had knowing she couldve ended the war if she killed them when she had a chance. and i think in the books it was mentioned how a 1v1 bettween just vhagar and meleys, meleys could have a chance to win it wouldnt have been completly one sided.

Not sure how Rhaenys would have freed her dragon without collateral damage. She probably would have tried to avoid killing people if it were possible. Even if Meleys was fine for the time being, you don’t leave behind one of your most powerful weapons with the enemy. That’s just not a sane choice. Plus, she loved that dragon - they were bonded.

@@CloeC-u9t1. this is a show, not real. and 2. the dragons represent centuries of history and are the only connection the targaryens have to old valyria, they’re the only thing that separates them from the other lords in westeros, and when the dragons die the targaryens aren’t far behind them. it’s very sad especially coming from game of thrones where we start when dragons have been gone for 200 years and house targaryen is on the brink of extinction.
