I am learning hindustani vocal in the US. i have been learning for the past 7 years. we only have classes once a week. we are given all written notations so that we can practice at home and we record our classes on our smart phones so that we can practice at home.
Everyone says that morning Riyaas is good. But whenever I am sitting for Riyaas my voice comes harsh, or it comes very rough So what to do in this cases?

C3 to C4 range is for males, C4 to C5 range is for females. I am showing C4 to C5 since it is comfortable for me. Please do according to your gender.
