Ariana’s story helped us when deciding on our adopted daughter’s name. Her birth name was spelled Soleianna. After hearing how Ariana just changed the spelling, we decided to do the same, to make it easier for others trying to pronounce it. So her name is Soliana, pronounced “So-lee-Ana”. We call her Soli (So-Lee) for short. We kept one of her birth middle names, because it’s also mine, as well as her birth mother’s. Soliana Marie came to us at 6 months, her adoption was final last October, and she’ll be 3 in just a few weeks. Thanks for sharing your stories with the world. They’re encouraging.
“Hannah” is a palindrome. That’s the term for a word or phrase that is spelled the same forwards and backwards. There’s also a book called “Hannah is a Palindrome” which is about an 8 year old girl, the age your Hannah was when she came to you, and the author’s name is Mindy which happens to be your Hannah’s aunt’s name. A few coincidences there.
My cousin's son has a cool naming story. She was in labour the day of the Chilean Miners rescue in 2010. She was waiting at home to go to the hospital in the middle of the night watching the news report of the rescue. The final miner to be rescued was named Luis and she ended up naming the baby Louis!

I think it’s a special part of the kids life stories of how they got their names and has made a happy memory for them all. I love telling my two children how they got their names and hearing how others got theirs. I’m not having anymore children now but I do have a little list of names I would have loved to have been able to use but will never get to!
One of my fondest memories is when I stayed at my aunts house, and we had this massive torrential downpour and all of us kids went on the lanai and went swimming during the rain and played in it. TY for re-doing a vlog on name changes. But to be honest, I like to watch the very old vlogs on the subject. So I can see the evolution and growth of the individual and the family dynamics. Jake's middle name? I love that you include the kids and give them the choice of changing or not! Wish you all the best 💞
Jake and Max has the same middle name
The more you see and learn about Brody, the more you think in 20 years time he’s gonna be super successful in whatever he does. Look forward to seeing him in top 100 successful CEO’s in the future lol.
I totally loved seeing all the joy the rain brought your kids! (And their silly antics in it!) I had to share this video with my son who lived in AZ for a couple years! He loved monsoon season, too!
It was fun seeing the kids talk about their names. 🌺💜😊
I simply want to say thank-you for having such large hearts.
Jake is such a cutie patooti! Such a beautiful smile
I feel it is beautiful that children get their 'new' name because they are 'born' into your family and a child gets a name when born.
i loved playing in the rain when i was a kid...
It's cute to see the kids having the most fun just playing in the rain. No electronics, just the fun given my nature.❤
This was cool seeing all the kids perspective and past and present names
Love how they’re all enjoying the rain with each other and not on their phones
Imagine creating a completely unsafe environment for your kid, losing that kid, and then threatening the people who love your kid enough to give them a safe home, and threatening to traumatize your kid further by kidnapping them back.... man. Some people literally shouldn’t procreate.
Is this about Emma and her brothers
@@ellamoran8927 no this is about the story crystal told about a friend of theirs who adopted children also!
@@ashleyguiro3740 ohhh right thankyouuuuuu x
I love rain too!! We get probably a bit more rain than sun here in NZ but I learnt to appreciate it more as I got older 😍😍 cleanses the earth and my soul! 🥰🥰
Your channel has helped me in my decision to look into adopting an older child in the future. I love the diversity in ur home and the craziness that comes with a big family. Do you talk to ur kids about race and ethnicity being how so much has been in the news about racial profiling and injustices.
The news also runs with a narrative to make their money. Divide us against each other.
Yep we do get a lot of rain in PNW but lately during the Summer it’s been hot and dry. Lots of fires. So fun seeing the kids having fun in the rain together.
FUN!!! FUN!!! LOVE THE RAIN!!!!! Glad the power came back on....!!! NEED THAT AIR CONDITIONING!!! ♥️💚💜💙💛❤️😄😄😄
I love how Robert is always involved in the background and the kids playing in the rain looked really fun it's what I always used to do when I was young, too 💖
Max is Just hilarious with out even trying he cracks me up every time love u guys your no 1 fan from Ethiopia💖
I love seeing everyone living life and laughing. It’s the little things, but I especially love seeing Halie happy right now!
i wish my family was this loving!
Your family has one thing in common, everyone seems very happy. Awesome.
if you love the rain so much, come visit england, it’s raining 80% of the time! 😭
More like 90% 😩
Yeaaa! I hate it
That is a lot
Can't forget about the 2 week heat wave that everyone does in
Sweden too but its been really Sunne this summer until now
TY for re-doing a vlog on name changes. But to be honest, I like to watch the very old vlogs on the subject. So I can see the evolution and growth of the individual and the family dynamics. Amazingly endearing.
Please be careful playing in the rain, how pleasant it might seem.
Sending much love and thanks. 🥰
I love this video, you can see that they have a special connection with every child and it's different for each of them too🥰🥰🥰 bless your family, Pettit😊😊
Whenever it decides to rain here in Oregon I will definitely be playing in it. It hasn't rained here since mid June and I miss the rain. It's super dry here and today it's 100° currently. Which that type of heat for here is rare and I hate it.
I used to love watching The Secret World of Alex Mack as a kid.
Was thinking the same thing ! Best show haha
