This video provides visibility into the full assembly in action during spin, but without the outer tub to showcase the wash tub spinning!
The three point snubber system can also be seen dampening and the sound of the fluid drive picking up speed can also be heard.
Enjoy!
This machine is as old as me and it's amazing how much engineering there was in this compared to most washers today.
That’s a beautiful sight! Been along time since I’ve wrenched on one of these without it’s cloths on! 👍👍
Wow looks more complicated than the units they have now.
I'd love one. Best way to wash, & spin clothes...without an hour long use. The motherboards are a JOKE!
So thats why these say "Keep Hands Out" ? Great restorations Ben, so smooth but yes , lots of moving parts back then those new motors & control boards now eliminate !!
How about more videos with Bendix powe-surge?
What’s that hose that spins with the tub?
The tub appears shorter than modern washers🤔.
That is correct. Older washers like this wasted a ton of space in the bottom half, resulting in a relatively small washing area. Machines like Maytag and GM Frigidaire were culprits of this.
No break??
If the axle breaks apart, it'll become a grenade.
❤❤❤❤😂😂🎉
