Definately 'B' is the right answer. If anyone else owns a Renault Megane diesel and you get the Engine Management Light / Check Injection System could need a regeneration. It's not even hard - you just need to drive on the motorway, let the engine get hot then change speed to 50mph and put the car in 5th gear and drive for 14 miles. At some point 7-12 miles in, you'll feel the engine chug a little - that's okay as it's doing a DPF regeneration (burning up fuel deposits in the exhaust). I found this technique out by nicely asking my local Renault Dealer.

with delphi try choose a different renault model with same engine , even mark II will work sometimes. the older versions of the delphi read that car with no problems. the "newer" ones are just full of issue and bugs ...
I have a 2011 1.5 automatic diesel Fluence. It has a push button ignition. It's been sluggish in the morning starting and takes 2 or 3 goes and longer on frosty mornings. Once started it's fine for the day. I changed battery thinking it was that, definitely not alternator and I don't think start. I have a feeling it's the glow plugs. I bought some but am nervous putting them in incase I snap old ones or the new ones.
Very likely to be the glow plugs , to be honest it’s a hit or miss with glow plugs i am also very weary of them , why don’t you test them first very easy with a test light or multimeter 👍

Would it be the exaust valve underneath the car. Ever hear that high pitch buzz after you switch car off? , that is the exhaust valve going through the motions of shutting down. Currently have the garage telling me those 2 codes are showing one for glow plug other for exhaust valve, but there are no problems showing on my dash? Bit slower to start on a cold morning but that's it nothing obvious on the dash warning lights?

WestSideConnection5 I didn’t have any noticeable issue either but it’s important to change them if they aren’t working... the most common issues are hard to start, excessive smoke, possible misfiring... 👍👍

The two clips on the turbo pipe....what are they called? They are essentially jubilee clips but have a different name...I can’t think what they’re called...I need some replacements but don’t know what to search for....I suppose I could just use regular jubilee clips.

I changed my glow plugs and everything seemed fine at first. Left the car for a week and now I've gone back it won't start and just cycles between the engine management light and the glow plug symbol. They flash alternatively. Plugged in reader and no codes. I'm totally stumped. Any ideas?
Have you got access to a pro scanner mate where you can have a comprehensive amount of live data? Probably the best thing to do at this point to get some direction 👍👍👍👍
@@CarsExposed The car was throwing up no error codes which made it a total guessing game for me. Put it into my local garage and be found the fault to be the multifunction control box in the engine bay. Turns out fancy fuse boxes cost a fortune (£234) from Renault. Cars all fixed now though! My glow plug change had nothing to do with it, there was some corrosion on the box and it wasn't giving out the correct voltage so the car was going tits. She's now working great and the glow plug change (guided by your video) has made my life a lot easier this winter. 🙂🙂

What code are you getting? I would check the resistance of the glow plugs just to make sure, it has to be close 0 as possible... then ignition on with the test light you can check for power 12v at the connector... I’ll check the wiring diagram in the morning when I finish work just in case 👍

Pedro Pinto maybe I’ll check the wiring diagram, but I would check the glow plugs for resistance too, I know they are new but sometimes people from the shop dropped it or something like I always check before fitting them in ...

I have a Renault Scenic 1.9dci, lately my glow plug light is intermittent and it feels like the car is running on 3 cylinders. It has moments where all 4 work and you car picks up speed and you can feel the difference in torque. I'm still new to the whole diesel thing, any ideas on what it could be?

What probe did you use?? And how did ypu wire it?? I was going to use light probe...
Hi mate great video, which anti seize did you use? Read some where that should not use cooper grease.
I’ve used a very small amount of copper grease , I don’t think is recommended tho …

Possibly Intercooler cooling pipe might have tiny crack and start loosing vacuum. That's why randomly fault on screen appears.

What was the issue with the EML light in the end, DPF clogged up with soot??

Diesels dont have a throttle body thats an anti-shudder valve, helps the engine turn off and makes it smooth when turning off.
Only terminology … intake valve , shudder valve , throttle body, tomato and tomato.

You have to bring the car up to temperature for the thermostat to open . Keep an eye on the coolant reservoir and top it up as required 👍

Have you tried clearing the code? Make sure the glow plug connector is pushed in properly .
