I am so mesmerized by what I am looking at. Soothes my heart to see Baguio as if I am the one holding the camera, and experiencing the walk. The last time I was home was 10 years ago. My family and I were supposed to visit in March of this year but Covid-19 got in the way. Thank you for filming this for the Natives of Baguio who are away from home.
Thanks for the vid. Wow so that's how it looks now . 63 yrs ago, Session wasn't that crowded. You could've called it deserted. Fog every afternoon. October, rains starts . You could even see our house below Brent , the 3 huge antennas on Mt. STo Tomas, Burnham park, Dominican hill, city hall. There were no stalls around Baguio Cathedral then. All the nice views are gone now, but thanks for your vid.
This place is just wonderful, I have only been here once last 2014 I think, but the people are so nice and friendly. I miss the positive aura, the smiles, and happiness of people at Burnham park.
I felt like I was back in Baguio City walking with you. Thank you so much for posting this. Loved it! I lived in Baguio City from 1992-2001. So much has changed since I left. I had to pause your video just to check out the new thing that wasn't there when I left Baguio. When I miss Baguio City, I will watch this video many many times over.
LOVED living in Baguio. Watched the roof get blown off SM Mall one year during a typhoon. Made this walk many times, as I lived a block away from Burnham Park.
Great video footage! I'm going back home to Baguio in 2 weeks. March 22, 2019 after 34 years. A lot has changed since I left, back in 1985. We used to own the Tesoro's Bake Shop at Assumption Road back in the day, until we all decided to move to the U.S. I really enjoyed your video. Thank You!
Hey cool vid. Ya, miss Session Rd, Baguio. Whenever I go up, I sorta just pass by Baguio on my way to Mt. Timbak and beyond. Too much traffic and so many people. Also, I just wanna remember Baguio when it wasn't too filled with traffic. Ya, the Baguio of 1949 and earlier. Everyday, fog came in around 3 or so in the afternoon. We kids would look forward to the movies shown in Patria. 25c only. You could ride the DC-3 prop planes to/fr Baguio then. Oh well.......
Malcolm square ... the city trying to abreast to fast pace of time but some remain unchanged for they are there to last for a lifetime ... MEMORIES painted in MIND ...
Thanks for sharing this video and give us a tour This is the most beautiful Baguio City video I've ever watched I enjoy it so much haha! Can't wait to come back there for my next blog and photography ^_^ more power and GOD bless you #EdgarGoToBaguioPt2soon
These jeepneys are way different than the ones in Manila. They are mostly 4x4, and high ground clearance, because there are lots of hilly streets, and sometimes dirt roads and muddy paths that are outside Baguio.
Main Reason, It is usually owned by Igorots, as you know Igorot men are more classy & manly unlike those Lousy lowlander owned type jeeps, small, noisy & ugly😁😅
I STUDIED IN UB PRE-DENTAL MEDICINE 1984-1986......I MISS BAGUIO CITY.....WALA PANG SM JOLLIBEE AT MC DONALDS........I USED TO EAT TOASTED SIOPAO.....AT SA MOTHERS RESTO
Malcolm square ... there's a place there just 50 pesos a day for travelling salesman 456 restaurant are best memories of the past wherein buses traversing the famous Kennon road , cool climate and friendly people are it's gems even the police force are fantastic especially during panabenga festival where so many tourist local and foreign alike flocks that mystical city where our brothers in south of 38th parallel lines choose this city to be their permanent home for i have seen they have their own float ... naimbag a bigat
This is truly a nostalgic walk around the city we love. Thank you for letting us walk and reminisce with you as we re-shelter at home once more here in the States due to the leadership's chaotic and botched response to the pandemic which has made the USA the laughingstock of the whole world.
The road has only 2 lanes on each side and there are vehicles parked along the way. Baguio can use some parking multi-story building. Mini-buses would be better than jeepneys and limited seat public conveyance.
these colorful, 4x4(most of them), high-ground clearance jeepneys were hand-made by igorots. I don't think minibuses can survive on hilly roads and muddy paths like a jeepney.

The mayor of the city can initiate a beautification project, i.e., planting of flower plants on those vacant spaces.
