    I recently discovered your channel, and I believe you have a great perspective on reviewing the fragrances to explain to any inexperienced nose which is more like "How does that smell or make you feel" in a very "human way", considering all mumble jungles on UA-cam about the fragrances. Most of the comments about those you reviewed were spot on. I think your channel will grow eventually, as you have +1 follower. Good luck!

    I have the 1990 100ml bottle. I like it a lot. I read it was used in the Twenties to hide the smell of smoke on women (Habanita for the small Habana, the cigar).

    Oh man, I've been wondering about this one for a long time. I was a bit surprised to immediately hear "dusty sofa" and "grandma's house". I just never imagined this to smell like that. I think I have to give it a try. I love old school chypre. I also like powdery and musty scents. Cocaine from Frank Boclet smells like grandma's basement, but I love it.

    We visited the same Molinard shop in Grasse… I tried the Molinard Lavande there, would it be close to Tom Ford’s Lavender Extrême? It produced a puke note on my skin, and that didn’t help when testing Habanita. I decided my Molinard statement piece would be a photo of the purple bike outside at the right hand side of the boutique…

    • @SeldomlyOften
      @SeldomlyOften  4 місяці тому

      Ha, the one in the center plaza! The Tom Ford is wayyyy more mass appealing, the Molinard is a lavender bomb, I can see how it can pass as 'too much'.

    • @gerardzonjee
      @gerardzonjee 4 місяці тому

      @@SeldomlyOften Lavande was not too much, but it literally produced a sour puke accord on my skin. So, not close to my TF LE 😉 And yes, the one at the Piazza, interesting to visit the brand boutique.

    Habanita is sexyyyyy it’s a beautiful powdery crushed up mastic resin that people chew. That buttery jasmine and amber. It starts off chalky and gets smooth and creamy like the smoke lifting off an incense stick. The eau de cologne is lovely also with additional citrus and woods.

    I am realizing I don't value presentation with fancy boxes and a stand out bottle design. At end of the day I am the one who ends up paying the price as a customer. Give me a simple glass, clickable cap / magnetic cap, a good atomizer and most important amazing quality of juice, I am content
