To play you need:
Instal and download bf3 with all DLCs (if you dont have premium, write me through commentary, twitter or discord)

sadly the most dead mod great work has ever been put in. sad story, but as a small streamer, you can do shit about it. having bf6 coming by serving the casual gamer a "portal" mode... only to high pc specs might save VU to get a visit. imo i still have a blast playing the game, getting a map editor would be da bomb but even then...trying to motivate people to even try out bf3 with 60Hz servers is a fight against windmills... the only way to play this game is against bots. every idiot makes a PW protected server (what i totally cant understand at all) or is filled with an admin himself who does nothing but visit your base with an apache to fuck you up. good shit, final verdict: fuck this shit :/ sad and poor community
I agree.
I think VU have a few problems:
- has more servers than players. So, it´s dead. In a good day you can find a server with 10 players.
- It´s dead because people have played it, but server didn´t get difference from bf3 until few months later, when VU was already dead. Players left this proyect after play for that, people retuned to bf3/4. I think if they would have released the mod after give modders time to develop some mods, could be better. When people played for the first time bf3 VU, was exactly the same than bf3 but with less players and more fails/crashes
- and, they released in 2020, not in 2014 or 2015 when people were interested.
But, i believe in this kind of proyects, i want to have the control of the game, i want a map editor, i want a community creating and keeping battlefield alive with new content.
Bf3 VU is over, but we can arrange events to enjoy once from time to time
