- The LAV-AD in War Thunder is a US SPAA that gets access to a 25mm GAU-12 and Stinger Missiles. This vehicles purpose is Anti-Air but with this much firepower, it's pretty much anti-anything!!!
The LAV-AD isn't the greatest SPAA in terms of dealing with top tier planes and helicopters but what it lacks in SPAA it more than makes up for with just pure BRRRT power! This guy can scoot around the battlefield putting holes in the sides of most modern MBT's with ease!
In todays video, I'm joined by @PhlyDaily where we take to a couple of night games to just Brrrt all our stresses away! A super fun video, I hope you enjoy it!

Heck ya fantastic video! Odd I’d love to see you play the T29, beast of a tank with a beautiful gun. I love absolutely demolishing leopards and IFV’s in uptiers, the 105 is arguably my favorite gun in game, plus 3 50cals are surprisingly useful and come in handy constantly

Even on full brightness I could hardly see a thing 🤣 your a top notch player and I like that your train of though is voiced without needing to act silly
UA-cam compression removes a lot of the detail, so it's not like Odd, Bo or Phly have to look at the same picture as us, when we're watching them.
@@pirig-gal and youtube compression has a particularly hard time with WT because of the trees

It's not really any different to vehicles having the iron cross on them to be fair. It's a war game, you can expect war inspired decals.

real talk, I think Gaijin should implement a seprate battle rating when you switch from air battles to ground battles, A10-A at 10.0/9.7 is absolutely broken for ground battles, getting kills from (potentially) 12km away and no ground to air counter to them(I've seen enough A4-E Early get kills from 9km away)

With so many games being mixed I have started to get into sim games
Simulator battles is pretty much the only way to not get force mixed. And sim is nerfed with -S- Z-tards and eternal casuals that can't tell a T90 from an Abrams as they shoot you for Blue and Yellow or ROC flag. Mixed battles is a constant because they don't want CSTO mains to get elevated levels of salty more than the spams, especially considering current events. US having fun? Better do something about it. It's pretty annoying US stuff has to face itself when Germany was able to get away with cancer combining with Russia for years.
My question is why you don’t use night vision? I mean I may not know as I haven’t gotten that far in America yet but I am curious

I highly recommended you the a10 for farming. Go in air battles and don’t go against air enemy’s. Go again ground targets and try to be sneaky

For some reason the hydras just don't work for me (now yes they do overpressure....sometimes) but if you go into armor viewer and actually click on a wiesel for example with one of the hydras it shows as a physical round and cannot manage to kill the wiesel from the front it breaks the engine but doesn't kill it and i even gave it the benefit of the doubt and assumed it might've been volumetric screwing me over but now full side shots on people at point blank and it does little shrapnel and not much pen. I believe the Hydras are completely bugged, its either that or im just using them wrong but they don't feel like a rocket they almost feel comparable to the BMP2M and its little grenade launcher. (i know totally different tank but trust me and go use the hydras and you'll see what i mean).

Man, hearing the LAV-AD just go ham on ground targets is so bad ass.
Honestly, I’m surprised the US hasn’t put much use for gatling guns on ground vehicles. The sound of it going off alone is just psychologically horrifying to hear on the battlefield.
Why put it on the ground? It’s not as useful on the ground as it is in the air. These possibilities and technologies were studied and tested for years, developed and abandoned. Don’t forget that brightest minds in the world were on these projects, to say they should have come to fruition because they’re cool is ignorant. The LAV-AD was obsolete when it entered service
Imagine an M1 with a GAU-8. Not very useful, but extremely awesome.
