They've traded some of their youthful speed, for some experienced weight & strength. Without compromising literaly anything! And they've done so at a healthy & phenomenal rate!
this song was great. like you said, more of the same, which isnt a bad thing. Imagine if they're sandbagging Bleed 2.0 or something completely mental as the 2nd single from this album. you explained it nicely. this was the 'hey we're back guys, check out this groovy rhythmic banger to get settled' and then they hit us with the saucy stuff. even if it's 10 more tracks of this, I'm not complaining.
An amazing song and an amazing video. Not every band needs to change, or are better off doing so. Some succeed. Personally I don't want Meshuggah to change because why change from something that you have succeeded with while being unique.
I agree 100%. They are masters of groove and their sound is kind of what they are known for so it will be interesting to see how they walk the line of familiar/new.
They invented this style so I think they can relax and think like ACDC or Motorhead, don't change a winning concept. I would like to hear a cooperation with Eskimo Callboy though.
I have two questions. 1. Have you listened to Knocked Loose yet? If not, they'll blow you away. 2. Where the fuck can I get a hat like that? Great video.
I also think that this one is just to get us more excited and warmed up. It’s even more radio friendly compared to their other song. But, I love it. 🤘🏻 Meshuggah is my absolute favorite band and I get overly excited every time they drop an album since it doesn’t happen very often. Sidenote: Atlas and their song Uhri is worth a watch/listen if you haven’t heard it already. 🤙🏻
Same here. They should have made a change in their approach. This is what we know from them. But it this is a common thing with artists. Most of them stay in the same lane they went in. Even a band like Igorrr does the same they all ready did. Discovered lorna shore recently i thought wow great. But all their songs are some what the same... Apparenty it's hard to be a multi musicalist (is that a word?)
I like how you looked at it,yes im agreed this new track didnt lose the “meshuggah” element.Again, they’re Meshuggah, they’ve thinks this shit through. The marketing the tragectory of the audience listening.
This is indeed their "radio song" from this album and people who have written track-by-track reviews (early listening sessions) tend to agree. This album is apparently REALLLLLY heavy and more experimental than Catch 33. There is even a huge surprise that I won't spoil ;)
@@boomerwithatumor4624 I may have seen it and not remembered that part. I do remember about the instrumental his referencing Metallica's Orion and them having the bravery to do that at that time. Now I'm curious if that means it's gonna have some extended clean melodic sections er....!?!? Sorta like on Contradictions Collapse?
Meshuggah are a band who don’t need to drastically change their sound or vocals just because every other band in today’s scene has, they’re in a league of their own and always have been!
Maybe I'm not the audience for this. I found it lacking in phrasing. Monotonous, even. I'm not impressed by fire hose music. The guitar solo sounds pasted on from some other song. I'm not opposed to hearing other things from the new album, but this one is not doing it for me.
@@christopherblowers443 feel good? That’s a loaded question. Lol meshuggah gives me a trance like state. I feel like that’s the point of the music honestly. If you consider that good? Then fuck yes. This is them at their best. But does it push boundaries as far as the state of current music? No. But I don’t think that’s the intent. These guys are light years ahead of most
This track slaps. I can't wait for more.
March 3rd is next single
35 years and they still got it. 💪🏻
They've traded some of their youthful speed, for some experienced weight & strength. Without compromising literaly anything!

Meshuggah doesn't do different. Meshuggah does Meshuggah and this is exactly why we love 'em.

This was definitely worth the 6 year wait, man I love these guys
Great song , mega Video,... i want more 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
It's a killer song
Awesome! Love your channel!
"Meshuggah is the quantum physics of death metal."
Whoever said that, knows qhat they're talking about. 👌
Dude thank you again!!!!

Good review as always
Love you!!!
Nice review, man
I wanna see Alex terrible’s cover version of this
Love the shark costume!
Oh, and the song too. But that costume!
I agree 100%. They are masters of groove and their sound is kind of what they are known for so it will be interesting to see how they walk the line of familiar/new.
Best band ever!!!
The Violent Sleep of the Koloss, love it!!
Thanks Man !! jijiji

You can't truly judge a meshuggah song till you hear it from the crowd. Learned that meshuggah live ... is just different.

You are correct in saying Meshuggah is the best band. 😉
Btw I presume you've heard Intronaut, Cloudkicker, Vildhjarta, Contortionist, Animals As Leaders, CB Murdoc, etc...
Please consider Malevolences new song On Broken Glass. So damn good.
Take a look at The weapon they fear by Parkway Drive!!!
I wanna see Alex terrible sing this 🤘🏼
Эй привет борода, что за музыка звучит в начале??
haha, Aliencore... you've reviewed Rings Of Saturn before, you should know what they sound like
Simple fact is no one can get Meshuggahs sound. Everyone tries and fails

They have the most unique sound in metal and you want change LMFAO
God above

The instrumental track?
@@boomerwithatumor4624 I don't know if that's the one but I'm even more stoked that he said that! LOL

Hey Galactic!, I’ve got something intense and epic for you, “Dethrone” by Bad Omens
Definitely a classic Meshuggah sound. Both good and meh. Honestly, I wasn't sure this was a new song; it sounds so much like their other stuff.
This song is sick 🤘🏽🤘🏽 check the new bloodywood song dana dan is fucking bad ass too 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Heard the song and saw the video already. No reaction sadly
Jerks? Is that all? I expect more 🧐 Typical Meshuggah btw
It’s good but I don’t get the worship of this band.

I mean. It’s more of the same from these guys. That sounds negative. But….yea. I agree.
But does it make you feel good?

Full props to Galacticrriminal for trying to get into to that but that was awful👎👎👎👎👎
