Thanks as always for watching, liking and subscribing! Today we're taking a look at my Top 20 Nintendo Switch Co-Op experiences! What have I missed and what would you add? I've focused on those with a story to work through together combining local play and online play! Check out some of my reviews below: Biped Review: ua-cam.com/video/bV1QVOVTG8A/v-deo.html PHOGS! Cuphead, although good, is one of the most frustratingly hard games I've played. Co-op games I love playing with m kids are the Trine series and Lego City Undercover.
Yeah it’s definitely not kid friendly for sure! I wanted to get a nice mix of kid friendly and not so much! I’m of the generation where co op was 2 controllers, 1 mega drive, no internet lol
Catching your videos, SwitchUp, and Switchwatch each is like hanging out with my favorite cousins as a kid. A great time and always getting me into trouble, just now financially. LOL.
@@Enigmalake True. Wasn't sure if it was on the Switch or not tbh. I thought A Way Out was good but I can't believe how much Hazelight grew between A Way Out and It Takes Two. Deserved the Game of the Year award at the VGAs
A few of my favorites would be Wario Ware, Minecraft Dungeons and Moving out (and of course Mario Kart and Smash). I have yet to try Children of Morta and Monster Hunter Rise in Co-op, but I would think they would be a blast.
It doesn’t compare in size and scope to these games but as they are often very cheap (got each for under £2 during sales) I would recommend Conduct Together! and Fly Together! My family love playing these so they bring me joy :)
Since I have no friends to play switch games with, I only play switch games with my wife. We play the "relaxing games" which includes the Lego games and mario party :)
It won't be out until next year, but I'm really looking forward to River City Girls 2 in 2022! The first one was great and the next one will be everything and more!
here are my fave switch couch co-op games that werent mentioned in the video. players listed are how many you can play locally (from my memory). Worms WMD (6 players, pvp turn based game where you're trying to kill the other players, can be overwhelming to first time players but easy mechanics) speedrunners (4 players, pvp platform racer, tons of maps to unlock, a family favorite in my house) ultimate chicken horse (4 players, pvp platformer where you build the level as you play, highly customizable settings) stardew valley (2 players, co-op chill farming game, very accessible, but recommend more on playstation as switch game stutters and playstation allows up to 4 players) boomerang fu (4 players, pvp action game where you kill your opponents with super powered boomerangs) runbow (6+ players idr the exacts, pvp OR co-op platformer, unique gameplay) out of space (4 players, survivor alien co-op) puyo puyo champions (4 players, pvp tetris-like puzzle) monster prom/camp (4 players, pvp-ish dating sim, adult humor) family feud (6+ players?, pvp or co-op gameshow) trivial pursuit (4 players, pvp trivia) for the king (3 players, co-op turn based adventure) golf with your friends (4+ players, pvp party golf game) tools up (2+ players, admittedly i only have this on playstation but its a very fun home renovation puzzle co-op and available on switch) tricky towers (4 players, pvp tetris-like game with 3 game modes)
Strange Brigade is good fun I sank a good 20 hours into the online multiplayer. Just picked up Hyperlight Drifter but am Lite exclusively don’t think it will be much fun sharing a screen on that one 😂😂😂
Towerfall is great fun co-op, Smash Bros. Ultimate, and some may not enjoy it but I've been liking Astral Chain quite a bit in co-op. Any Warriors game is fun in co-op, but I've really enjoyed One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 on the Switch. OP: Pirate Warriors 3 goes on sale on the eshop for $8CAD too so that's probably the cheapest you'll see an official Warriors game go for. Unfortunately it has no physical version for NA region.
My top co-op games on Switch, excluding ones mentioned in the video and which I have actually played with one or more other people are: 1. Broforce (4 players). Hilarious over-the-top run and gun game, very accessible for most people. 2. Nine Parchments (4 players). Beautiful action game with magic. 3. No Reload Heroes (4 players). Shooter (single or twin stick) with fun guns and randomized level layouts. See how far your group can get. 4. Super One More Jump (4 players). Work together timing your jump button presses on your colour to make it through the level. Fast paced and very "one more go"-is. 5. Burnstar (2 players). Underappreciated puzzle game that works well with 2 players. Figure out how to burn all the flammable items in the level with the resources provided and try not to die. 6. Out of Space: Couch Edition (4 players). Work together to fight back the persistent aliens infesting a randomly generated ship to power up every room. Can be infuriating when you lose late in the game after everything was going so well, though. 7. Joggernauts (4 players). Work together to ensure your coloured character is at the front to pass through the same coloured obstacle. 8. Think of the Children! (4 players). Manic game where you play as parents trying to stop kids from killing themselves at every turn while completing tasks. May trigger PTSD in some parents. 9. Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game (4 players). Fun little side scrolling beat-em-up. 10. Moon Hunters (4 players). Underrated adventure game with a decent story and unique democratized voting system for all decisions. Unbelievably long loading screens, though. 11. Moving Out (4 players). Work together to load the contents of a house onto a truck whichever way you like. 12. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (2 players). Work together to defuse a randomly generated bomb. 13. Super Chariot (2 players). Drag a chariot through a level together. 14. Assault Android Cactus+ (4 players). Fun twin-stick shooter where you need to keep collecting power for your shared battery. 15. Tools Up! (4 players). Work together to complete tasks. In the same vein as Overcooked. 16. Tied Together (4 players). Interesting game where you are tethered to other players and have to complete the level that way. 17. Putty Pals (2 players). Play as two blobs of putty (with hands) to make your way through the levels. There are others, but that should get you started for now.
I've been a huge fan of local co-op games since back in the day so it's nice to see that lately more games have added it or even been designed around it
Fight'n Rage for a hardcore beat'em up (3 players co-op), Super Hydorah for an R-Type like shooter (hard game for up to 2 players), both on sale now. Wario Ware is probably one of the better multiplayer games to play with beginners due to its simplicity and difficulty.
Listing the games in order, so i don't have to click on the timestamps to find out which game is game 16 or 7. 20. Resident Evil Revelations 2 19. Biped 18. Phogs 17. Ibb & Obb 16. Untitled Goose Game 15. Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime 14. Guacamelee 2 13. Hyper Light Drifter 12. World War Z 11. Luigi's Mansion 3 10. Vitamin Connection 9. Overcooked 2 8. Enter The Gungeon 7. Borderlands Legendary Collection 6. Streets Of Rage 4 5. Super Mario 3D World 4. Diablo 3: Eternal Collection 3. Monster Hunter Rise 2. Divinity Original Sin 2 1. Cuphead Might add the timestamps later
Overcooked 2 is still my top played game (before BOTW even)! Super one more jump is also so much fun in co-op. Thanks for the video Alex, I might check out PS Corner too as I need a replacement for Gauntlet (on hard mode it crashes and I can't save progress). Still a good one one endless!
Didn't know hyper light drifter had co-op, I'll give it a try, thanks ! Also, I'd love to see a top 20 co-op games to play with "non-gamers". I guess super Mario 3d world seems like a good starting point.
Some of my favorite multi-player games are Ultamite Chicken Horse, Cat Quest 2, Diablo III, and Armello. The other obvious choices are Smash Bros and Mario Cart.
Timesplitters Future Perfect will probably always be my favourite co-op game, but maybe I remember it better than it actually is nowadays. I appreciate you calling out blizzard. Haha. Its a shame because back when they did warcraft 3 their company was amazing and only put together the finest of games. I guess WOW ruined them
Lately the significant other and I have enjoyed Ibb and Obb and Unravel 2. Loved Streets of Rage 4 and the Takeover, too… easy to pick up and play for non gamers as well. Great list.
Thank you for the list but calling the whole Blizzard Company scumbags and to not support them, seems way out of line for a list video and comes off as an ignorant bitter bastard statement, rather than a professional statement.
Monster hunter rise has local, you just need another person with a copy and a switch to play together without online (unless you guys are strictly talking about the same system local co op then never mind)
Others that come to mind: Unravel 2, Death Squared, Podé, Castle Crashers, Putty Pals, Mario Party Superstars. Overall a great list with solid offerings.
Another great list. (completely agree with the comments about the higher-ups at Blizzard) I'm thinking about picking up Vitamin Connection to try out with the wife.
I really need to try like all of these games. I've never played a single one. Problem is I have no friends that like the same styles as me. Still recommend some of these as a solo player? I have played Cuphead. Beautiful and fantastic game
Awesome! Looking for games to play with my daughter. Just picked up Minecraft because she absolutely loves it. Definitely want to check out a few of these.

Thank you for the awesome video Alex!!!
Now that I think about it more, I would include some of the LEGO games like Harry Potter or Jurassic World, I love playing those with my daughter
Cuphead, although good, is one of the most frustratingly hard games I've played. Co-op games I love playing with m kids are the Trine series and Lego City Undercover.

You should try Pikmin 3 Deluxe. You can play the entire campaign in co-op unlike the Wii U version.
I can't thank you enough for listing the fact whether or not each game can do local or online coop or both enough!
Very much appreciated.
I can only take advantage of online so really helps out.
Ya, the dude even managed to virtue signal against Blizzard. Cheers ya npc.
Catching your videos, SwitchUp, and Switchwatch each is like hanging out with my favorite cousins as a kid. A great time and always getting me into trouble, just now financially. LOL.
It Takes Two might be the greatest co-op game I've ever played. Beat it tonight. Phenomenal
If only it was on switch. A way out (same studio) is fantastic as well
@@Enigmalake True. Wasn't sure if it was on the Switch or not tbh. I thought A Way Out was good but I can't believe how much Hazelight grew between A Way Out and It Takes Two. Deserved the Game of the Year award at the VGAs
I've been looking for some good co-op games to play with the family, thanks for the great videos as always....
The Overcooked! series is definitely my #1 on my list. My wife isn't a gamer and she loves it. It's fun for all ages!
I totally forgot that HLD has coop. That game is such a gem
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is so good. Very happy to see it in your list.
Whoa, I have 10 out of 20 games off this list. Nice video Alex 😁👍🏾
A few of my favorites would be Wario Ware, Minecraft Dungeons and Moving out (and of course Mario Kart and Smash). I have yet to try Children of Morta and Monster Hunter Rise in Co-op, but I would think they would be a blast.
10:48 True.
I've been wanting to play but not support them. I stopped playing all their games. Second hand though. There's an idea.
It doesn’t compare in size and scope to these games but as they are often very cheap (got each for under £2 during sales) I would recommend Conduct Together! and Fly Together! My family love playing these so they bring me joy :)
It breaks my heart when the best co op games don't have online. At least River City Girls 2 is online.
Since I have no friends to play switch games with, I only play switch games with my wife.
We play the "relaxing games" which includes the Lego games and mario party :)
Over cooked all you can eat can be bought for around $25 these days. So definitely shoot for that.
Fully agree with Cuphead 👍But where's Duck Game, Castle Crashers and Bro Force?
Savage - love the honest reviews.
It won't be out until next year, but I'm really looking forward to River City Girls 2 in 2022! The first one was great and the next one will be everything and more!
That game is going to be so good. The first was awesome... They need to come out with another river city ransom..
here are my fave switch couch co-op games that werent mentioned in the video. players listed are how many you can play locally (from my memory).
Worms WMD (6 players, pvp turn based game where you're trying to kill the other players, can be overwhelming to first time players but easy mechanics)
speedrunners (4 players, pvp platform racer, tons of maps to unlock, a family favorite in my house)
ultimate chicken horse (4 players, pvp platformer where you build the level as you play, highly customizable settings)
stardew valley (2 players, co-op chill farming game, very accessible, but recommend more on playstation as switch game stutters and playstation allows up to 4 players)
boomerang fu (4 players, pvp action game where you kill your opponents with super powered boomerangs)
runbow (6+ players idr the exacts, pvp OR co-op platformer, unique gameplay)
out of space (4 players, survivor alien co-op)
puyo puyo champions (4 players, pvp tetris-like puzzle)
monster prom/camp (4 players, pvp-ish dating sim, adult humor)
family feud (6+ players?, pvp or co-op gameshow)
trivial pursuit (4 players, pvp trivia)
for the king (3 players, co-op turn based adventure)
golf with your friends (4+ players, pvp party golf game)
tools up (2+ players, admittedly i only have this on playstation but its a very fun home renovation puzzle co-op and available on switch)
tricky towers (4 players, pvp tetris-like game with 3 game modes)
World War Z is my new favorite game in switch.
Castle crashers is a great one.
Fantastic list. I didn't know Hyperlight Drifter can be played as co-op locally, I think I'm going to pull the trigger while it's still on sale!
My top co op games are
Borderlands legendary collection , World war z , Saint Row 3 and 4 - incredible fun
And Dying Light
Strange Brigade is good fun I sank a good 20 hours into the online multiplayer. Just picked up Hyperlight Drifter but am Lite exclusively don’t think it will be much fun sharing a screen on that one 😂😂😂

aint overcooked 2 super cheap in eshop rn? like under $5. I know I wanted to get it but I don't have ppl to play with
Yeah it’s always on sale and always the way to go thanks to that online support
Unravel 2 - I would recommend as a co-op game
I wont to see on the future Borderlands 3 port . This will be amazing
wish you showed the co op game play footage 😭😭🙏
the list i needed
I have such a hard time finding games my kids want to play with me other than Mario games. So, I wish all games had an option for that.
These look so fun! My friends and I usually love playing Mario party/kart as well but those are cliché choices 😹
Yoooo hyper light drifter is finally on Switch! T^T
Me and my 9 year old play and enjoy Fortnite, Rocket League and Knockout City on the Switch.
Then. Then. Then. Then. Then. Then. Then. Then.
Does number 17 cost money or is it free
The eshop lacking isn’t it 😞
👍🏽Good deal

Good looks 👉
Now, that's what I call a list. Nice, real nice! 😁👌🏾
very good my friend
Are all this games on Nintendo switch ? I haven't heart most of them I'm not really a gamer obviously lol
I would add Full Metal Furies and Towerfall for sure. Solid list still! Awesome video!
I've been a huge fan of local co-op games since back in the day so it's nice to see that lately more games have added it or even been designed around it
The Trine series definitely gets a shoutout from me. Absolutely brilliant gameplay, good story, and some of the most beautiful visuals out there.
Trine is criminally underrated! With exception of the 3rd entry, they are some of the best games i have ever played
Agreed
I would definitely add Unravel 2, played it with my girlfriend and we both loved every bit of it!
I love co op games
Switch is a great machine for it!
Divinity is just so good on all fronts. Hyper light drifter is such a fun game.

Children of Morta was so much fun playing with my son so that'd be on my list. Ibb and Obb (on your list) is one we've played together and enjoyed.
I've played single player of Children, big fan of the game but really need to check out co-op in that one!
I am starting to get into co-op games to play with my husband recently. It's been great fun!
BroForce!
Some of my favorite multi-player games are Ultamite Chicken Horse, Cat Quest 2, Diablo III, and Armello. The other obvious choices are Smash Bros and Mario Cart.
Kart*
Cat Quest 2 is great! Forgot about that one!
Timesplitters Future Perfect will probably always be my favourite co-op game, but maybe I remember it better than it actually is nowadays. On the Switch now, this is a great list, Dying Light is great but I still need to check the co-op, Sniper Elite 4 same story, its spin-off Zombie Army, and the same developer's Strange Brigade are also great games built around co-op. If No Straight Roads was technically better I'd definitely say it deserves a spot, for its music and characters. Cat Quest 2, although I haven't played it in co-op yet, Cave Story, and Chariot, are some other great options that come to mind now, I'm sure there's more. Depending on your definition of co-op, Friday the 13th is also well worth the 5 euro's I bought it for on sale recently. It's basically 7v1 asymmetric online, one being Jason. Mario & Rabbids also has a co-op campaign, one of the best games on Switch, cheapest Mario game on this level, Can't go wrong getting it if you like strategy games and just fun, definitely.
Some quirky cheap titles that offer fun in small chunks: Inverses, Muddledash, Boomerang Fu, Asto Bears, and Timberman vs
Just the kind of video I needed to see to help my girlfriend and I find some new games, thanks a ton!
Great list! Here's a few missing notable titles:
Human Fall Flat
Bleed/Bleed 2
Mechstermination Force
Two Brothers
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors
Just glad I got 7/20 of the games you mentioned! Be adding more thanks to you!
Guacamelee is awesome
Good platforming and fights
Guacamelee definitely fun and funny content recalling classic MetroidVania tropes, but skill levels for co-op peeps need to be equal otherwise it'll be a really long game
I’d love to see your top co-op rail shooters. Are there even enough on the Switch to make a list?
I appreciate you calling out blizzard. Haha. Its a shame because back when they did warcraft 3 their company was amazing and only put together the finest of games. I guess WOW ruined them
Lately the significant other and I have enjoyed Ibb and Obb and Unravel 2. Loved Streets of Rage 4 and the Takeover, too… easy to pick up and play for non gamers as well. Great list.
Awesome list. Local co-op and switch portability are great. Games like Rise and WWZ are excellent. I’d add unravel 2
Along with Hyper Light Drifter I recommend Unsighted. Fantastic game that also has local co op the same way Hyper Light does.
There are lots of great titles in your list that I like. I love overcooked 2, guacameelee , enter the gungeon. Great list
Thank you for the list but calling the whole Blizzard Company scumbags and to not support them, seems way out of line for a list video and comes off as an ignorant bitter bastard statement, rather than a professional statement.
Top coop 20 lets go! Although i mostly play solo. 😅
A fair few online options as well! Thanks for being here Smiley!
Are you english for real ?
Racist
Monster hunter rise has local, you just need another person with a copy and a switch to play together without online (unless you guys are strictly talking about the same system local co op then never mind)
Wait world War z can be 2 players campaign on one switch but can't do 2 players local on ps4??????
Why?
But which one would you recommend for someone whose wife ABSOLUTELY SUCKS at gaming? lol
There’s so many Nintendo games that I want but they’re all 60$ and that adds up real quick
I hunt for the best co-ops thanks for this list
These games make me wish I had more friends.
Others that come to mind: Unravel 2, Death Squared, Podé, Castle Crashers, Putty Pals, Mario Party Superstars.
Overall a great list with solid offerings.
Highly agree with Castle Crashers - loads of fun!
Lovers in a dangerous spacetime bugs me so much that it's not online
Thanks for this video I appreciate it
Divinity is fantastic, but it's a much better experience on PC
you actually can play Divinity Original Sin 2 with local co-op
Would have Loved to see Pikmin 3 Deluxe here too!!
Hyper light drifter is a really good game.
U kinda sound like kermit💀💀🙏🙏
Can you do a free edition
Marvel ultimate alliance 3
I have no one to play with :(
!raffle
!giveaway
OLED!
Tactics Ogre let us cling together NEEDS to be on the switch. Match made in heaven if you ask me, why it's taking forever???
I have to say I'm a little surprised Unrailed! didn't make your list or at least the honorable mentions. I might need to checkout Cuphead.
Not going to lie I’m really enjoying Minecraft Dungeons with my 8 year old son, who is hooked on all things Minecraft
Another awesome banger! Love it!!! Thanks Alex!!! Great Job my friend!!! 👏👏👏
Nice
