People need to realise, this isn't just a 3rd tier European Tournament. That it means nothing and nobody wants to win it. They had this in the past, with the Cup Winners Cup. Losts of big teams won that and it was taken seriously. This Trophy will be in the future, theres not a lot of silverware to win out there, so total respect to West Ham for winning it. Not only that but they had a poor season in the League. Yet winning that means they are also in the Europa League next season. With this Competition and the Eurpa League, that bring in extra money. My team Tottenham are not even in Europe next season, so I would rather be in West Hams position now. Look at Chelsea, also in the same boat as us. Maybe this could tempt Pice to stay now, he will be able to play in Europe again next year.
