I am not sure, but if you are sure it is in good condition meeting manufacturer specs then why not, anyhow this is safety device better to check with car dealer.
Hi, thanks for comment, I was setting on driver seat while working on this, but in fact with this car model the other way round the light will be off while some one sitting on the seat, the idea here in normal condition with no fault and some one sitting on seat the warning should be off. If you watch in the vedio after fixing the fault I have experimented this by pushing the seat by hand while monitoring the light.
@@saudautomation How did you know it was the control module that was faulty. Did your OBD reader give you a code that pointed to it??? I have a similar issue and am getting b10001b.
Yes the scanner tool fault code indicated (passenger occupant detection system control module) this was shown in the vedio as well , but beside this I have checked all the connectors and cables also the sensor response if ok to confirm the root cause before replacing.
What size wrench did you use to unscrew the bolts at the base of the seat to lift it up?
Torx screwdriver Size T50 or 8.83mm.
Can the airbag module be second hand ?

@@saudautomationI got it sorted in the end thank you I just got a second hand one with same codes and plugged it in and worked strait away
Are you sitting in your passenger seat. That light you point to will say AIRBAG OFF if no one is sitting in it
