I am making my second bag now, think the side piece is 6-7cm short than it should be.
if you calculate the whole length it should be (22+15) x 2 = 74cm
but the top + side are 23.5 + 43.5 - 4 cm (sewing allowance) = 63cm (69.5cm worked for me the second time)
to include the round corners, the length of the side piece is still about 6-7 cm short, same for the bias

Beautiful bag. Any particular reason why you handstiched the bias binding after turning it? Can the same be done by machine?

You can do it by machine, but she chose a „cleaner“ finish. By doing it by hand you can make the seam disappear. The first side you can do by machine because you then turn the fabric and the seam is inside, but if you do the second side by machine too, you will see the seam “on top” of the fabric.
It’s the same when you leave an opening to turn your work and then once you turned it you have to close the opening. It’s the nicest finish, when you close it by hand using a ladder stitch (also known as mattress stitch), as the seam is “invisible”.
