Thanks for these videos dude, I’m wanting to transition into IT after 23 years of driving a semi… got no nibbles on gigs after a couple of certs so I’m looking into the cloud computing BS degree… hard to change careers with a family and a pretty decent salary to begin with
Glad the videos help bro and thanks for the comment! I completely agree with you, I have a video coming out on tips on getting a job with little experience. But just a tip so you don’t have to wait, look into temp work that you can do part time or one day a week, look thru a staffing agency. Then with the experience in the resume and the certs you have a better chance. Most ppl in this career with no experience have to start at a support role, those roles usually are low paying at first. See if you can reach out to a few staffing agency’s in your area, show them the certs you have. They may be able to get you into a more advance position with decent pay, it may be temp though but perfect to get some experience on the resume and build skills. I used to drive fuel trucks at the airport. At night I worked part time thru an agency 2 days a week from home doing simple IT work.
That’s why I started making the videos, I felt the same way you feel right now but you will get past that feeling after you finish your first class. You won’t be tested on things you haven’t seen, all the info is provided. I’m only 4 classes in so expect more videos per class I complete. Good luck homie you def got this!!
