Very nice vlog Fredric, inspired me to try harder with a smaller wing, instead of being lazy and going big all the time 😂

Thanks Dan. Yes, it is so much worth it. The ease of jibing with a smaller wing is amazing. The overall benefits of manoeuvring really hooks you going as small as possible. I take my ENSIS Score 4.0 out as often as I can. 14 knots is my key. Have a go and let me know how it goes! Stay safe! Cheers

@@wingfoil_mallorca What foil are you on, I am using a 1720? A friend of mine just purchased the AXIS ART 1099 and this takes minimal effort. But i don't like the thought of foiling with a knife for cutting jamon underneath me 🤣

I've mainly been on the axis 1150 through the winter. Working on learning to ride waves. However, the Axis is just so heavy and this puts me off. I will give the 1050 some time vow but actually I still prefer my Starboard foils. I have a 2000, 1700 and a 1300. What are you riding?

@@wingfoil_mallorca I ride a GONG FLUID 1720, on an 85cm mast. I am 85kg so I can hold it down even in strong winds also gives me lots of lift during light wind sessions. I just need to change the mast to the carbon mono-bloc to get rid of the weight of the mast. I am happy with that, it does all that i need.

Sounds good Dan. A carbon mast is a great addition. When I changed my alu. Starboard mast to carbon, it was such a step up in maneuverability both in the water and on land! ;-) Another great move is to get a 1300-1500 foil for days >20 knots. That is great fun when you can get som more speed but still be stable! Have you tried a smaller foil?

Hi, and thank you for the great introduction to different wingfoil spots in Mallorca! Can I ask you for some advice? I’m planning a trip there this weekend and the forecast is NE turning NW. What spots would you recommend for a reasonably good rider in such conditions? 🤙

Hi Oystein, you are welcome. Happy that you found something good in the videos. To your question. NE to NW is a nightmare. NE is great in Wingland but not NW. NW would work in Can Pastilla, maybe a bit better in Arenal or Son Veri and maybe even better in Sa Rapita. But NE not at all! Take your pick! You have to choose side of the island depending when you want to ride.
Write me a day or so before and we can look again. Conditions change quickly here…

@@wingfoil_mallorca Thanks Fredric! I’ll keep my eyes on the forecast and see how it develops. Fingers crossed that it works out ok! Hope to see you on the water! 🤙
