Doesn't make sense
I don’t like Laporta at all.
But in Reality, Laporta did make big big signings on Xavi's asking in the 1st midseason and 2nd season such as Ferran for 55 million,Eric Garcia 15m/free then Raphinha 70, Kounde 65, Lewandowski 50, Christensen free, Aubameyang,Alonso and also this season Cancelo,Felix,Romeu. Excluding Felix, all of the above are Xavi's choice. As we know Laporta are trying to bring some players for the next season. Previous season Laporta did sell many of the club assets to support Xavi. Xavi should try to be more rational when he talks. And obviously any club president does not want to show their weakness in the media.

I absolutely agree that Xavi did not say anything even a sidewalk sitting nothing better to do individual whom doesn't care about football already knows. The financial mess or turmoil at FC Barcelona have been well documented long before Xavi took over and made in many ways worse by Laporta after he got elected again. Some also say Xavi also contradicted himself or was hypocritical but again that is not new in the world of football because what coach has not done that.
What is even more embarrassing than the mess at FC Barcelona is Laporta's grand plan on how to solve it which is also not secret or hidden agenda. Laporta's grand plan on solving FC Barcelona's financial woes was his silly dream of something called the Euro Super League. Imagine that, a silly more than far fetched plan was Laporta's big vision or plan and of course even a child can tell you it will never come to fruition and thats when Laporta like a mad man started pulling all them levers which again has proven to be a short term fix.
The main attention and focus should be on Laporta's inability to turn the club around and the ridiculous plan of his to bet the club's financial future on an impossible dream. I believe and know that FC Barcelona needs more than ever to have an emergency election or sell the club to new competent owners because those are the only two real options they have because a new coach will not fix or solve their problems even if they get a coach like Pep or Klopp as long as FC Barcelona financial woes don't recover the coaches cannot do much or any.
