I think this cover is incredible. I feel like it's worth noting for the people below who think Skaters should have done the song their own way, Tommy Ramone just died. It was a tribute.
can we please vote this to the top instead of ppl hating on this dead on version of ramones!
Fuck this, we're fucking punk? It's pop punk I don't like this...
I love what the drummer did with it, very well done.
Escucho a Los Ramones desde que tengo memoria y cuando escuché este cover quede sorprendido, buen sonido y sobretodo buena voz. Buenísimo, buen tributo. ❤️
uno de los mejores covers, versionados que escuche.. great!
Very Royal Tenenbaums.
lol i read it before watch and thought that fuck is mean but now year u are soo right
where's the "yee-ay-yee" ?
EXACTLY. I often obsess about little details like these in songs and it always drives me crazy that live versions don't have them. :(
Morrissey honours the yee-ay-yee with a woah-hoo in his version. props to him.
I'm so sick of either seeing "they changed the mood of the song. this sucks." or "They changed nothing about the song. this sucks." on these Like A Version videos. COVERS ARE COVERS FOR A REASON. They can do it however the hell they want and however they decide to do it, it is intended to be done that way for a reason.
+David Evans hell yeah brada
I don't know much bout the Ramones but I like this cover :)
The backing vocals save the cover. Really great.
AGREED
Awesome playlists!
Fuck Yeah! Great cover!
those inside sunnies are so edgy
Fucking awesome, Joey would have loved it
Brilliant!
cool!
This isn't a bad cover at all. It's pretty solid, and I like how it's simple as well.
its sick
Excellent
So bloody good! How it should be done :)
After this, they went to beat up Daniel LaRusso
excellent
Ramones pure rockers punks
drumming on this is sick
0:38
Missing the "yeah eee"
El cover que tienen de "This Charming Man" de Smiths es buenísimo también...
What do they say instead of SLA?
U goons fkn ROCK !
I hate when ppl change shit up @ totally destroy a tru East coast punk rock anthem. That's how that song is done. Nice job ninjas
Mj
I'm wondering if they're robots
flange away
well it's not bad; i personally like a more distorted guitar tone for this, but you gave this great tune some love.
saw the ramones live - the difference being these guys put in too much effort, displayed some music accomplishment and no where near enough white noise!
the ramones did not give a fuck, nor have musical ability and pathos was displayed bursting eardrums!!
Downpick derby
the main looks like he thinks that singing is the worst thing in the world
I was sorta waiting for him to fall asleep. I wasn't gonna mention it, but now that you mentioned it, yeah.
Pero como tiene la decencia ese tio de versionar a los Ramones como si fuera una farola!??
sponsored punk bands eh
it's good but they didn't really bring anything new to the table
Ramones songs don't need to be messed with.
danzoil I'd rather hear them do a song their way instead of doing a song exactly the same. Best LAVs are when they take a song and make it their own.
13dirty666 Fuckin oath, totally agree. In fact I'm always dissapointed when they just copy the song. It's as you say, would much rather hear their take on it; a la Allday's version of 'Never Tear Us Apart' just to name ONE - it's what I love about LAV in the first place, and why I always come back for more. In many instances *looking around inconspicuosly and whispering..* I find that I actually prefer the covers where the musicians have utilized their artistic license :)
BeccaJeanC I'll say Allday had the right idea, can't say anything else due to my opinion on him and his music is which a tad less then positive ;) but thank god someone else gets it. One of the highest respected LAV's of all time, The Herd's version of Redgum's classic I Was Only 19, completely changed up the song. That's what it's all about, playing a song you love your own way
They dont even skate
