I love unique conditions that make you appreciate riding. Absolutely gorgeous ride. 👍 Keep up the great content. Still hoping to see you on the trail (little gem most likely).

That was cool to hear you mention bike tech. I totally agree with you and tell my riding buddies no real changes have been made since 2004. I'm not saying better electric starters and fuel injection isn't awesome but, but everything is pretty much small detail stuff. Heck, I'd still love to have my 04 Showa forks back.

Well said! I think the bikes have been very similar since around 2000.

Idaho on my bucket list, I like that ridge top ride, I'm amazed where you can still ride, I left Hawaii because the Department of Land and Natural Resources DLNR shut and fenced off 80% of my riding areas to where I could no nolonger lay out a 2 day 200 mi extreme off road race. This sez it all> ua-cam.com/video/AxX9wqp-hUc/v-deo.html
Top Ten why Old Riders never die
    1. Too badass ornery for death
    2. Most older geezers ride solo
    3. Ride faster than death can go
    4. The faster they go the safer it is
    5. Can’t die tailgate BS bench racing
    6. Their not on any proscription meds
    7. Been there, passing death in the dust
    8. They ride at deaths speeds all the time
    9. They can ride faster than deaths crashes
    10. Those that died, were happily on the gas

I went out to Big Willow in New Plymouth this summer after not going out there in years. I used to take my 3 boys out there and you could ride all the way to the man made lake. They would swim and we would ride the road back to the parking area (doesnt exist now). I talked to a couple guys out there and checked the map (new parking area). 95% is not accessible now. It was a favorite of ours. No trees but camelback trails that were fun. Good memories out there. Just a shame.
