Len, what an excellent job of building this, it really is a job well done!. It was a pleasure to watch you work. For those who are interested a WEM Starfinder is 30.0"H x 30.0"W x 14.5"W. One of the critical components in getting the Starfinder right is the double baffle front speaker boards. As Len demonstrated the main one that holds the speakers is routed into the sides, top and bottom and forms a unique strong bond for the cabinet. The speaker cloth fits to a lighter ,3/8" I think, baffle board that fits over the front. I don't know if Len showed it but the Starfinder also has a 1" aluminium metal brace bar going back to brace the back panel from the center point. The tolex Len used is also correct for later model WEM Starfinders, you cannot get the early thin stuff. It is called Black Panama and is the same as Hiwatt tolex. The correct size rubber feet were also fit. Have fun lads!
Do you have a parts list, specs, and dimensions? I would also like to put Type A Fane Cresecendos in mine, so if you have the electrical wiring for an 8ohm or 16ohm cabinet I will be eternally grateful! Thank you!
Nice job, I have a dominator MkIII. I picked it up at a boot sale for 20 quid, it's very original and in good condition, but I'm struggling to get it working correctly, tried loads of things, but long story short, I'm waiting on a new ecc83 (12ax7) valve coming in, hopefully, that sorts it. I like the 3d printed logo, might be worth printing a few off and selling them on eBay? I'm sure there would be a demand for them. I noticed that some of the silver control knob covers are missing from mine. I have a lathe and was thinking of machining a jig to press some new covers, and if it works the way I think it will, I was thinking of listing some for sale on eBay. The parts are becoming rarer and rarer. Best tying to keep some of these beauties going for a few years for the generations to come. Love the work, all the best, Shug. :-)
Great video. Would you mind sharing the plywood type used, overall outside dimensions and depth? I'm embarking on a similar build - already have an original badge and some of the repro grill cloth - pricey indeed.
Great job, really impressed, my kids and me watched all in one breath 😁...amazing job. Is there maybe some blueprints and data needed to build just one like this, I would realy love to challenge myself as a big PF fan with this project?
I have to say it looks pretty thick compared to the real wem cloth though, which might alter the sound. Very nice that it was actually stitched instead of just printed.
This is brilliant! This would be a blast to do with my Dad, Stepdad, and Wife. Two love woodworking, and two of us love guitars! Do you have a parts list, specs, and dimensions? I would also like to put Type A Fane Cresecendos in mine, so if you have the electrical wiring for an 8ohm or 16ohm cabinet I will be eternally grateful! Thank you!
you were very clever with the badge ! now the big question is the grill , did you knit it yourself ? im not aware of any commercially available . LET US HEAR IT !
Plot twist: this is the actual factory, and its titled replica so people think its hard to make for a replica to justify those 2k price tags for the authentic.

How long did this take? Can you post a parts and dimensions list? So cool!

I would love any info that you happen to have!
@@TebbieBear do you mean me?
@@mrmonsoon0001 Yeah, I could have sworn I tagged you. I would still love more info but I'm almost done with my build. lol
total work of art - well done
Fabulous. I loved the period stack of Gilmour gear at the end, right down to the curly lead etc.... Most Iconic 😉👍👍
Great music!
Impressive Len, craftsmanship 😉
That, is so, AWESOME!
Excellent work...
I would totally buy one off you!
Really outstanding skills

Amazing!
Is it possible to have the project/file for the 3d print.
I want to make it
Make me one please. ❤️
Fantastic build! Do you happen to have the STL for the logo handy? I can't find it anywhere and I am hopeless in using blender.

Hi, did you get the sizes of the cab?
Great job, really impressed, my kids and me watched all in one breath 😁...amazing job. Is there maybe some blueprints and data needed to build just one like this, I would realy love to challenge myself as a big PF fan with this project?
Where can we buy the Grill Cloth I have been looking for a long time ..I love that Grill Cloth! Please help thank you
Fantastic! Where on Earth did you find the grille cloth?!
c matty ordered it from Chris Hewitt in the UK, he had a batch made. Quite pricey though..
I have to say it looks pretty thick compared to the real wem cloth though, which might alter the sound. Very nice that it was actually stitched instead of just printed.
I would be interested in the dimensions of the 2x15 cab. Height width depth and the depth of the baffle. Thanks.
Plot twist: this was filmed in reverse and he disassembled a genuine.

The original Wem Starfinders were wired for 6 or 12 ohms. Those back badges are very difficult to find.....

im thinking about having some printed reproduction cloth made, granted the original was woven, but it's better than nothing
Excellent vid,was that a 3D printer you used for the WEM logo?
Thanks, 3d printer I used was a cheap Geeetech i3
Hi Len,
Si it possible to provide logo specification to carte a replica with 3D printer?
Thanks!

awesome work, do you have blueprints?
and do you have a parts list please?
No sorry, I don't have any blueprints.. If you have questions about dimensions, please ask, I''m happy to help
@@DavidLenney well I have a four nos fane crescendo that need a cab. Would be great to get all dimensions possible as well as spec for the parts.
How does it sound compared to your original?
@@JR_Taylor I will see if I can make a parts list
What are the odds you'd build one and sell it to me? :)
