My thoughts: Tombstone: it’s tombstone. Nothing more, nothing less. I’m just glad that we’re going to get to see them. SlamMow: ooh... that’s a big wedge. I don’t know how well it’ll do against verts though... War?Ez!: it’s a little slow, and those tires look very fragile. The weapon doesn’t look all that potent either. I see this robot being a desperado tournament entry, sadly. Rusty: the new undisputed champ of BB 2020. In all seriousness, this robot is going to be a bale spear type entry. Ghost raptor: looks a tad fragile, but probably pretty mean. I don’t see it reaching the top 16, but I do see it going a solid 2-2 or 3-1. Gigabyte: holy hell that’s a fast spinup. We may be looking at a potential champ or at least a top 16 contender. Perfect Phoenix: Unfortunately, I see PF turning into vert spinner food. Even though doomkid is a great driver and the robot was built/refurbished by two of the best builders in the sport, the robot itself is just simply put, outdated.
Some of my favorite Tombstone battles are where the blade weapon backfires and hits the floor, sending them chaotically into the air. Phoenix is going to fly for sure!
Dam, it's been awhile since u made a video, but I'm looking forward for your new series. Now let me give you guys my honest opinions on what I saw...... Tombstone - nothing really different tbh, just the most destructive bot ready to obliterate more opponents. I will say that he's my prediction to win the giant nut this year. Witch doctor could have been my pick but the problem is that she had a lot of close calls to losing because of reliability problems. So unless they actually fixed those issues, I'm picking tombstone. Slammow - this bot I'm actually looking forward to. I don't know what makes this bot appealing to me but if can drive like whiplash, and control fights with wedge & lifter like gruff, then you got yourself a potential new favorite bot on my list. War Ez - um, generic vertical spinner #28. I mean I hope they put on a show for us but nothing appeals to me since it's again, another generic vertical spinner. Ghost raptor - I'm sorry but I'm not convinced this bot will be successful. Sure it made it to the semi-finals in s1 and sure that spinner spins up fast, but look at their history. S2 ghost raptor looked sick and showed us a footage of it destroying a barbecue grill, and..... um..... it went 0-3. Lost to SOW was fine, it could have done better with razorback and did absolutely nothing in the rumble. Even if the new ghost raptor fixed these issue, their drive chain looks too exposed, the wheels are far apart, the bot frame looks weak, the spinner is shorter and the spinner looks like it can fall off from the bot. However despite all my criticism against ghost raptor, I'm actually looking forward to this bot. Only because we haven't seen this bot in like forever and I want to see whether or not it'll improve. Sure, you can all laugh at my face saying I told you so if he does well, or goes 4-0, or wins the giant nut, but these are just my initial thoughts. Rusty - i know it's not that serious but to be fair, the drill weapon is actually something I had in mind. I was always wondering what if a bot had a drill as a weapon? It would be similar to saw bots but maybe it can penetrate through easier? Unfortunately without a wedge or front defense of some sort, I'm not sure if I can say I'm looking forward to this bot. Gigabyte - I'm glad they can self right but I'm kinda disappointed they ditched the colorful shell for a different one. Don't get me wrong, the new shell looks badass with the flames and darkness. I do believe he has top 16 potential, as long as he doesn't get tough ass opponents. Seriously, he got minotaur, HUGE AND witch doctor in 1 season, how's that fair? I'm getting off topic but the point is that I'm hoping gigabyte does well. Perfect Phoenix - despite it being a resemblance of brutality, I'm not super hyped for this bot. I mean we have bloodsport and I'm not sure if icewave is returning. I'm kinda doubting that icewave is returning since has a big name and there's literally no mention on his status yet (at the time of commenting this), so I'm worried. Again, hopefully they put on a good show, and we'll see what happens. I'm ready for battlebots s5, because we need something good coming out of 2020 and this is it.
Some people are convinced that Icewave is there and some aren’t - it’s a bit of a tricky one. Gigabyte got a really tough draw last season that left it unable to fight in the playoffs against SOW (it was then replaced by Copperhead). An overhead drill is an interesting concept but I think the one on rusty is too small - there’s an antweight here in the UK that has a drill that’s not much smaller than that
War! Ez? seems to be the most divisive robot entering this year, not spoiling anything for the Big Battlebots 2020 Rundown but Robot Combat Models, Akimbi and I all have vastly different opinions on it
I was really hoping that GR would be able to show up without anyone noticing. You know, dip it’s toes in the water, get a fight or two in, then disappear. It is reassuring that someone looks forward to seeing GR, again, though. Thanks!
Unfortunately I won’t be able to since 1) I will get copyright struck and my channel terminated 2) I don’t live in the US where the episodes air I will be able to post reviews though
Yeah I agree - I’m just tryna not celebrate too early because this is what I thought about Predator and Foxtrot in previous seasons and then they broke down 😂
I meant that I remember seeing predator driving round in the test box before the competition. And also I’ve always known you guys as Team Danby which is why I get the name wrong sometimes
(Reply to Robotic Apple XL) Your comment did not come through properly, apologies. Yes this was the previously mentioned video! :) )

It’s hard to tell how Perfect Phoenix will do because we haven’t really seen Brutality fight a vert
I mean brutality is an outdated bot and also it can’t self right. I doubt it’ll go too far, that spin up is stupidly fast though
@@typhoon7914 It’s been completely refurbished with modern components

That would be glorious! Although Phoenix looks like quite a stable bot.

Now I'm waiting for a World Spriggan bot to enter the competition
SlamMow is kinda like 2015 BiteForce but smaller
Does War?Ez! have a srimech?
Not that I know of, but it might have the things that Hypershock used in its fight against Breaker Box that allow it to drive upside down
Do we have a time and day for the first ep (i know there rec it right now).
Not just yet - it's estimated to be around December, if not sooner
@@hex1044 ok cool

This Thursday, December 2 2020 discovery Channel in the US
Perfect phoenix looks like a larger clone of hazard. Proven design, but I wonder if the bar could break loose from the shaft during a massive hit.
It’s taken some pretty big hits before... in 2009. Whether it will be able to survive spinners in 2020 is the big question
To me its spinner food
Mate youre almost at 400 subs, just 27 more subscribers at youre gonna reach it
I can’t believe how quickly this happened!
Hi will you also upload episodes of this season when it airs??
Unfortunately I won’t be able to since
1) I will get copyright struck and my channel terminated
2) I don’t live in the US where the episodes air
I will be able to post reviews though
Slomow is definitely going to be very interesting the year
Yeah I agree - I’m just tryna not celebrate too early because this is what I thought about Predator and Foxtrot in previous seasons and then they broke down 😂
12:55
its a wheel so it can spin the arm and self right faster
Interesting, looks like tge Tombstone bar is accurate to the hexbug a bit XD
I think that might be where the idea came from XD
What the heck is Rusty supposed to do?
D R I LL
Exist
I'm convinced that Rusty was put in specifically so I would stop making fun of Chomp as the most useless robot.
Well, Blacksmith and Axe Backwards already check that box (not counting the gimmick bots, just bots that are taken seriously).
But there not battlebot 2020
There is, they're recording it now
War Ez looks like it just won’t work because it doesn’t have a wedge. Just my opinions though
I think that could be a problem for them as well. However it does get a lot of reach with the weapon
Team Mowbot not team Danby, watch some of my videos to see it actually lift
Predator never worked like this
I meant that I remember seeing predator driving round in the test box before the competition. And also I’ve always known you guys as Team Danby which is why I get the name wrong sometimes
It retired biohazard in 2005
I like the new weapon on tombstone
Rusty is a cute bot but I don't hold out much hope
Perfect Pheonix = Hazard reincarnate
Perfect Phoenix is just big Hazard change my mind
I like gigabytes new look
It looks fantastic
Is any one there
That was quick!!!
Im getting Iron Giant vibes from rusty tbh
Hi
