My home is full of blue and white porcelain and I love it. I inherited my Mother’s that she collected all during my childhood and I started purchasing pieces with the purchase of first home and even occasionally add a piece when I find something fabulous when I am out antiquing. I use my collection, along with a slight hand of tiger print as neutrals and have yet to find a style they fail to compliment…from Ralph Lauren Equestrian to sea influenced sun room, to more formal areas. Thank you for this fabulous video that brought me a lot of enjoyment.

You are definitely a kindred spirit! You are definitely curating a home as one should--from inherited pieces to antique shops. The addition of tiger print is EVERYTHING!!!

Pronounced: shen-wa-ze-ree…..and yes it is lovely. You can frame a few panels, or decoupage to the front of a dresser, commode or armoire (are- mwaa)…..

In my head it sounds just like this pronunciation. 😂 Hopefully, it doesn’t take away from enjoying the beauty of this style.

@@TisdaleManor an accent is special, like tomato or tomato-in the song! Minnie Pearl had an accent and died a millionaire!

It is not an accent. It is pronouncing French correctly.
Americans cannot pronounce St. Louis. Notre DAME, New Orleans. to name a few. The French in France and Canadians laugh at you.
FOYER - do not pronounce the R.
      You sound like uncouth hillbillies.

Yes I have blue and white chinoiserie collections in many rooms or spaces in my home. One piece has a warm brown glaze in with the blue and white.

There are cottages in England as well as estates that decorate in this style - call it what you will.

I recently bought blue and white canisters of china for a bathroom. They are on my mantle with an antique clock and some chinoiserie!

My apologies! I cringe every time I hear myself mispronounce "chinoiserie."
