No one wanted to go there & play with Kobe either especially when it comes to taking a pay cut just to play there & Klay didn’t want the same pressure as GS to perform night in & night out he won’t be asked to do near as much as a Maverick it would’ve likely been a useless move for the Lakers anyway because he’s actually been 1 of the main reasons the lakers have been honestly better than the warriors the last 2 to 3 seasons Lakers beat GS out of the playoffs in 2023 in 6 games in a 7 game series & also the playin game in 2022 the year before and the GSW’s didn’t even make the playoffs this past season veto the playin game because they lost to Sacramento kings. KLay Thompson was 0-10 in that game so he’s already proven the games passed him by when it comes down to the playoffs etc. He’s been proven he’s not the same player the last 3 seasons & lakers still wanted him? but he really wouldn’t have done any better for them likely worse.

Pelinka stopped caring after 2020 when he unnecessarily busted up a title formula. AD has no business being on any PUP list. It starts and stops with Pelinka and Jeanie and may as well but the Rambis family in there too.

LeBron has needed this model to win every single title. Only once in his career has he won a championship with just 2 hall of famers and that was with love and Kyrie. His other 3 titles he needed 3 hall of famers to win in Miami and in the Bubble. He has shown that this is the formula. At least 2-3 hall of fame teammates and elite 3 point shooting, and even then he has lost 6 times in the finals so it's actually a losing formula if we go off finals record. But every player has needed help to win a championship but the days are gone when you could win a title with LeBron as your number one option
