Spanish football is brutal, the playoffs are always crazy at every level and the bigger teams with more experience usually come out on top, Oviedo look like they could challenge again over the next few years, plus they already have this experience of what it takes, even if they just missed out :(

I do have one question though, how will the Spencer fc football group handle the situation when hashtag and oviedo are both, inevitably playing in Europe???
I’ve always had such an affinity for Oviedo because my club Portsmouth went through similar struggles. I watched them lift the FA cup 16 years ago as a child. Stayed with them through thick and thin. Now on the rise again much like Oviedo. Tough times don’t last as they say! PUP
I think it does make sense. Teams get promoted mainly based on league position anyway, and it means that the worse-placed team can't just stall out for a draw and get in off what's basically a coin toss (pens). It does also mean the higher placed team benefits from a draw, but they're "earned" it.

It´s a shame because Español should have gone up via the direct route and then Oviedo through the playoffs, such a shame that destiny put our teams against each other. Shareholder myself here but unfortunately I couldn't get out there for the game. I did however watch it at home - what a bitterly disappointing end to the season. This club seems to have turned a real corner this year though so hopefully it can continue into next season. Although, unfortunately, the manager and a load of players have jumped ship already. Fingers crossed the foundations are there though and we can pick up where we left off next season!
Cute video but to call yourself a fan when you only came into the club once it called out for investment due to going bankrupt is questionable. The club is 98 years old, how much of those years do you know about? What about the Spanish league, any knowledge on its history pre 2003? The history of Spain? Also, isn't Sid a Barcelona fan?
