A really big project. Kudos.... I couldn't do it myself.

Oh! Thanks for the tip on the die. I just ordered one. Such a great way to easily stack up some scraps and cut them quickly to have on hand for those little pockets. Love that!

Yes! Steel rule dies are very versatile - they work in almost every kind of machine. You should be able to use the same sandwich as Nestabilities. :)

Great video! I love the little tips and tricks you shared. I really like the tab journaling cards idea...will be using that in my PL. =) Oh and the tip on keeping the white paper behind so you can see....genius. TFS!!

I love that you used PL for a big event in your life. I can't wait to see it all embellished! I have started PL for the first time this year. And I already hate being a week behind. So I hope I can catch up and stay caught up. Eak!

Glad you like it! The trimmer I use is a Tonic one - just added a clickable link for it in the description below the video (forth link). Hope that helps!

I know this video is a bit old now but thanks for sharing this! I'm currently using Project Life to scrapbook about 4 years of world travel to several different countries and it was really interesting seeing your approach to it, especially the travelogue inserts repurposed from blogs. Also for showing off the Design G and H pages! I didn't know about those and have been super annoyed by the same things you were talking about with having a fair mix of horizontal/vertical shots and also running out of photos from one set before moving on to the next.
Anyway, your stuff looks awesome and thanks again for sharing it!

A wonderful job! I am a story/word kind of a chick -- your mother's age -- so I was happy to see you had those detailed journaling cards, but dismayed that they were hidden away. I would love to read the stories that went with the pictures - but then I probably won't ever have the album in my grubby little hands anyway! I love how you transitioned to a larger album for this trip.

Hey Mary - actually if you look at the blog post that goes with this video, I mention that the journaling is almost all directly from blog post I had previously written here: brittaswiderski.com/2013/01/one-year-ago-today/ So you can read the journaling. :)

Nope, I just cut the picture in half with a picture trimmer. It's a little easier that way. ;)

I love how your travel PL is turning out. When you split pictures in half, did you ever use the die for that?

Where did you find your grid cards?
