You obviously don't appreciate good chazunis. This was amazing and Helfgot is one of the best, if not the best, out there.

The heavier gerrer with his thick voice and the thinner chabatchker with his thin voice make a most unique harmony.

There can be many different interpretations of the same music. But I have to call into question anyone's appreciation for chazzanus who is misguided enough to use the word "screaming" in reference to Chazan Helfgot.

TentSitter obviously you just don't understand, appreciate chazzunes so it would be pointless to explain.

Carlebach wrote this early in his career and yes it has Modzitz influences .Dont forget Carlebch was influenced by the music of all the great chassidic Rebbes and their music.

It would'nt occur to them to mention the מחבר being R Shlomo Carlebach חבל

I need to agree with alex. They took one of the most amazing and pure niggunim and stylized it, like many covers do. The drums and accompaniment are horrible.
These gifted singers could have and should have, done it better.

Why not? Your firs two statements are (potentially) false, so what's the problem?

someone said i obviously dont appreciate good chazanus .how further from the truth is that statement.I am well known throughout the world for my knowledge and understanding and have been organising concerts, workshops and cantorial conventions for over 40 years .I was a very close friend to Shlomo Carlebach and his songs have to be sung the way they were written .
