Part 3 of 3: • Arvo Pärt & Myung-Whun...
From the film "Arvo Pärt: 24 Preludes for a Fugue," directed by Dorian Supin; a Juxtaposition disc.
So Chung is also speaking fluent English, German, Italian and French?
What a genius
Impressive how fluent Chung is in Italian and German!
5:05- 5:42... incredible moment, where a genius hears the sounds in his head brought into the real world.
Thanks for uploading this wonderful look at the tireless effort behind such a monumental work.
matooli oh I so agree with you... I just watched this again and you’re so right. I almost cried. He didn’t know what to do with the joy he’d felt hearing the sound he created manifest
Humble and soooo sweet
I don't know much about music. But I love watching people who do.
U nailed me
Che Genio!! È un vero e grande Maestro!!
3:30 dude they're livid at how late the basses are
Chung qui è stressatissimo
veryt good an alll
Am I the only one who’s surprised by the amount of talking and even playing out of turn by the group when the conductor is talking? I’ve just never seen that from a professional group. Not sure if that’s just how they run things.
Hahaha it's a normal thing, after 6 hours of rehearsal you can't avoid talking, and the conductor of course gets angry. I laughed a lot because it's such a realistic rehearsal this one.
You should definitely see that video of Leopold stokowski rehearsal
Im with you, with a composer and conductor of the highest caliber it's really unbelievable. I mean how are you going to screw your entry 4 times in a row and then have the balls to talk for 10 seconds afterward. Unreal.
i don't major classical music, but looks severely difficult to do conductor as a job
Do any of you know where to find this recording?
