House Of Yes (2000) Part 6- The Messenger

- Recorded on Halloween night in the House of Blues in Las Vegas, during their promotional tour for The Ladder of 1999. It is the first and only official live recording with the Russian Igor Khoroshev and Billy Sherwood.
Soon after Khoroshev was charged with sexual harassment and was fired from the band. By the time the live DVD and double CD was released, Sherwood had lest the band, "due to disagreements with the inter-band politics".
Close To The Edge and Hearts were both performed, but excluded from all releases of the show.

I cried the day Chris Squire died, and I'm a grown man. These guys influenced my entire high school yrs and beyond.
What an incredible band
What a great bass line.
Chris Squire was a master on the bass guitar! I miss him so much. I miss hearing that growl of Chris’ bass. He and Neil Peart were my two biggest influences as a musician. Their deaths hit me so hard, I can’t put it into words. But, at least we have the classic stuff to listen to. I originally wasn’t a fan of The Ladder and Magnification, but later I gave them a chance and they’ve become two of my favorites.

Igor Koroshev.
I believe his name was Igor Koroshev. He played with the band from Open Your Eyes up until the end of the Ladder tour.

Sort of prog-reggae.
Wish Howe would bury his bald ego and accept the fact Yes is(was) the talent of four guys working together (Anderson, Squire, Howe and Wakeman) along with various others now and then: White, Bruford, Moraz, Rabin, Kaye, Downes, Horn, etc.. Life is short and three of you are still alive. Drop the money machine faux-Yes for a few real Yes concerts. Maybe?
