- There is yet another update for the Dymo 450/Ebay. I have it pinned to the comments and here it is:
Basically on that last page, which is when Adobe opens and shows the label, go to the print button on the upper left hand side. Click it. A box should pop up where you choose the Dymo 450 (or 450 Turbo). Now here is the trick: on that pop up page, click "properties". Another pop up window should open and choose "advanced". Under the paper size, make sure you select 99019 Large Lever Arch. That is the correct size. Now you can hit okay and then okay.
Now you should see the printer box again. If it isn't showing the correct size, make sure you click "Auto portrait" and it should print correctly. Ebay has gone through another update and now it is a bit trickier.

Hello, and thank you so much for this video! I was able to get my Dymo 450 installed and the Adobe Acrobat, but when I try to print the label, my computer won't let me select the Dymo printer. It is listed as one of my options, but it kicks me out of it. Do you happen to know why? Thanks again!

I've followed cleaning methods, settings, etc, for both. I am wondering if my LABELS are defective. I just ordered new ones, and will see what happens! Thanks for RE-motivating me to try again. hello i watched the video followed everything step by step, but ebay does not give me the 7 x 2 option for labels?? just A4 OR 6 X4. IS there a way to resolve this or do i need a 4xl dymo now instead. i have a dymo 450.
When you hit "print shipping label" on your My Ebay page, it should be in the bottom left. Scroll down past the person's address and you should see a place to change the settings. Click change and a box pops up with the 2x7 setting. Feel free to email me and I can walk you through it with screen shots if you'd like :)

I say that I'm allowed to hate all new things for two weeks. Two weeks is what I give myself to dislike a new program, new phone, new anything. If I'm not happy in two weeks, I try something else. Dymo was the same thing for me years ago. I installed my first Dymo before UA-cam existed and it was a pain. But, all these years later, I still love my Dymo 450 and, shockingly, it still prints with Ebay. ;)

@@freshbloominclothing I use the Dymo 99019 labels and set my paper size to 30256 Shipping, choose fit to paper for the Scale, works perfectly. Also works for eBay labels too!

Every video I have watch does not show how to print a single address label that can just be typed in. My new Dymo 450 wants list from contacts to print. Can you please help me figure how to print 1 label?
I think this machine will only work with Ebay when printing out USPS labels. I don't believe you can print a shipping label from any other site. I print random things on my labels using the Dymo software (like labels for items in my house).

You have to buy the 2x7 labels for Ebay. You can use the other size for making custom address labels in the Dymo software but you could not use them for Ebay. Ebay requires the 2x7, 4x6 or regular printer paper.

Hi Melissa, I have a problem with my DYMO label writer 450. It is just printing blank when I use the app Dymo Connect but when I print a shipping label is working right.

I have never used the Dymo app. Is it working from Ebay on your computer? I'm not sure I understand the question. (Also what is Fe Dymo?)

Thanks for your great informative videos on the Dymo. I went ahead and bought one - it should save me a lot in ink! One question tho. The blue light stays on all the time, is that correct and not harmful to the machine that it doesn't shut off?
Yes, my blue light also stays on. I've never had any issues with mine staying on. Congrats on buying one! I hope you love yours as much as I love mine!

You should absolutely be able to use it if you have a USB port on the iPad.
Hello Melissa I’m having trouble finding printing out a business card, I have a MacBook. But for some reason the printer itself is not printing out the sheets they come out blank. And the blue circle of the dymo turns on and off any advice? Pls help!😭
What size paper do you have in the printer? I didn't realize you could print business cards on it. The paper might be too thick?
It only prints on sticker paper specifically made for these kinds of printers.

The paper size does not display when I go to print for the 2x7 I'm trying to print my label from a PDF I purchased through UPS, windows 10
It only works with USPS through Ebay.

Yes I'm in the US, after like 5 hours of messing with it I just decided to resize it in Photoshop, I'm taking my label to UPS to see if its scanable later today, this was extremely frustrating for me and in the end disappointing, my printer does give me the correct label size but the label itself will not resize and align itself when I mess with settings, not until I manually resize in Photoshop and even then its actually warped or stretched a little bit, smh
@@MrMcalec I'm impressed you stayed with it for so long and possibly figured out a solution. I do mention several times that this will only work with the USPS (post office). I've never seen it work with UPS nor FedEx. Please let me know if UPS accepts it?

Has anyone had issues with the USPS scanning these labels. I took a package today for the first time . They had issues scanning the bar code. Eventually they had to enter the tracking number manually.
Yes! I've heard it all over social media and straight from Ebay. We are all having troubles with the USPS scanning packages unfortunately.
@@freshbloominclothing I happend to find the solution on a eBay forum. Just has to do with printer settings via windows. It makes the barcode clearer to read. Tested it with my USPS app and it scanned perfectly.

I just want it to print what I send to it from WORD without being attached to any site
Dymo has its own software which can be downloaded from their website. If you download it, you can choose whichever size label (2" x 7" for the Dymo 450 for example) and then it prints right from Dymo.
Word won't necessarily work as it is set up to go to a 8"x11" size. If you can configure the size to 2"x7" in word, just choose that printer when the print screen comes up. It may work but I've never tried it from Word.

I haven't heard about Dymo Connect. Is it something for their wireless printers? Or can it be installed on the Dymo 450? Ebay is the only program I know that will allow you to print a shipping label with the Dymo 450 and that is because of the additional software (Adobe Acrobat) needed to bridge that gap. I would love to know if Dymo Connect works! :)

I swear if you go to dymo now they do not have this software available for download.
Go to the bottom of this page and on the right hand side, there is are two drop down boxes. The top one needs to be LabelWriter Label Printers and the second one needs to be LabelWriter 400. Here is the link: www.dymo.com/en-US/online-support/dymo-user-guides
The LabelWriter 400 works perfectly. This is the 400 series and it includes the 450 and 450 Turbo. I hope that helps.
@@freshbloominclothing Thanks It doesn't work for m`e but somehow I didn't need the software and it still prints. My main problem was converting it to 2x7. I already purchased the label so I had to void to then reprint it in 2x7 format but thank you you're the best and always so kind.

Hi Melissa, I just bought my scales, bubble wrap and peanuts from eBay today. Where can I get that Turbo printer please? If I don't have a printer yet can I still mail items by writing my own? Yes, you can absolutely just write the address on your labels. I would suggest making sure you get tracking though which might be an extra fee if you are writing on the labels.
One step up from writing your labels by hand is a regular printer. Any printer will work.
If you feel like you "need" a thermal printer (it just makes things easier), Amazon and Ebay both have them. Mine is the Dymo 450 and it only works with Ebay. If you sell on Etsy, Amazon, Poshmark, etc, the Dymo 450 won't work. But a regular printer is cheaper and just as good.
I think the only thing you will need for shipping is a scale, which you already have, and outer packaging like poly mailers, a box or USPS envelopes. I get my USPS priority supplies from the USPS.com website for free but you can also get most of them at a post office for free. A lot of people don't use tissue paper, ribbons or a note and they still get 5 star amazing feedback.

Dymo 4XL works great with Posh, Amazon, Ebay, etc. I have the Dymo 450 which only works with Ebay.

This past week PirateShip had an announcement that you can now print 2" x 7" labels on their website. So the Dymo 450 and 450 Turbo now work with PirateShip and Ebay. Woo-hoo!
My labels are printing, the area printed is just very small, barely using the label space. Troubleshooting and have a ton of bad labels. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Does the label open in Adobe? If so, I can help you troubleshoot! :)
If it opens in Adobe, here are the steps to fix it.
Hit print and a page will pop up. Choose the 450 printer and then to the left is "properties". Click properties, then click "advanced". Make sure the label is 99019. It is third from the bottom I believe and says something like large arch. That is the exact size you need. Choose 99019 and click okay. If it still isn't showing correctly, make sure you choose the automatic orientation. If it still isn't showing correctly, play with the "fit" options. This works in 99% of cases.

Hello, i haven't used my dymo turbo since purchased a year or so ago. I have it plugged in and ready so what I'm wanting to know is if it prints out labels or an address label, never a ebay shipping label will that determine weather its ready for ebay shipping labels or is there something i need to do on ebay or for that matter is there a way to print a shipping label from ebay just to see if its ready when i sell an item. I haven't sold anything yet but wanting to no at one point also will it show to print a label. Is it only when you make a sell? Thx for this video also.
I think you are asking if you can print a label from Ebay before you make a sale. Is this correct?
It is a great question and one that I have never thought about nor been asked about! I agree that you should be able to do this but I don't think there is a way. I'm so sorry! I wish I knew how to help.
When I click on open label it doesn't go to Adobe
I've heard this from 3 people today. I have also heard that Ebay is having major glitches today due to their updating their categories. I am hoping it is just a glitch. I will absolutely be doing an update video but won't be able to get to this until at least late next week. I'm so sorry. In your opinion, should I make this video private until then?
Hi Mellissa! Is there a way one can stop printing a label midstream?
I don't believe there is. Once it starts to print, I would allow it to print and then go into Ebay to void the label if you made an accident. If you try and stop the label printer, you might cause an error.

I have the Dymo LabelWriter 450 Turbo that I use for my eBay labels and have no issues with it. I use the 99019 labels and everything works as it should. My son recently started selling trading cards and so he ships them in an envelope and uses the eBay Standard envelope for .53 postage. So he currently prints that to our printer and then has to cut them to size and tape on the envelope. PITA! Do you think I could use the Labelwriter 450 Turbo with the 99019 Internet Postage Labels to print these out? Anyone?
I hadn't realized there was a 53 cent postage through Ebay. (Just for my own learning, if you don't mind answering: does it have tracking? Or is it just like a stamp?) I believe the Dymo 450 works ONLY for the USPS labels and ONLY with Ebay. It sounds like he is also printing through Ebay. Is the 53 cent option through the post office? If not, it might not work. @@freshbloominclothing thank you for your reply. I started out with those sticky sheet Papers before the Dymo and they worked great. However he is actually sending out regular size envelopes so the paper would be way to big.
Yes it’s a $.53 stamp through eBay postage. I should try to get a pic and post it, maybe that would help. No tracking number but a QR code thing that you can scan is on it. So I’m not sure if that is any kind of tracking or not. I’ve never scanned it to see what happens! Maybe I’ll try that as well!

Any regular printer (8x11 sheet of paper) works. If you are looking for a thermal printer, the Dymo 4XL is great as is Rollo. They both print a 4x6 label that works for almost all platforms (Mercari, Posh, Ebay, Amazon, Etsy, etc).
I enjoyed this, I thought changing to classic on Ebay, it would take out Paypal. Is that true?
I ship everything 1st class, so how would the labels be. And does ebay take out of paypal for the amt of postage>?
I use the classic view on Ebay and still need to go through Paypal. Ebay is slowly moving away from Paypal though and I would think by the end of 2020, we won't need Paypal at all. Ebay will be managing all the money.
If you have lighter items (under 16oz), first class would be the way to go. The fee varies as a feather will be maybe $3.50 to go in state but a long sleeve shirt might be $5.50 going to an opposite coast.
Yes, Ebay takes the money for postage straight from Ebay. You don't have to pay that separately. It comes out of what the buyer paid.
I was told if went classic, you lose paypal. 2023 will be the last of paypal, I like and have been darn good. All mine go first class, thinking of getting the dymo, specially for the winter months, thank you for the information.
Mine comes up where I can select more and it has 99019 as an option. But it won’t let me or I cant find a way to set it as my default. I have to select it every time

Thank you I’ve been trying forever to get this to work it still didn’t work with the PDF software opening up behind the scenes or able to manipulate it like you did with the PDF software but somehow I was able to print it through eBay in the correct measurement and it made it to the Dymo printer For all you do I know it takes time to just put this all together and keep updating people you are great thanks again

I don't. I have never used nor heard of chitchat. It will work with PirateShip, which is a free third party shipping website. You could probably import addresses from chichat to PirateShip and ship from there.

What size label do you use?
Genetic Dymo 99019 which you can find on Amazon. They are about 2.25"x7.25" or something like that. I found the printer only works with Ebay but it's still great for first class and priority mail. 💙
Lost all my addresses and totally new format to learn in the Dymo software update. Might just as well buy a whole new label printer that won't delete my saved addresses when they do their unwelcome updates. BOOO DYMO
I put my Christmas list into Dymo years ago and lost it when it updated. So annoying. I now only use Dymo for my Ebay labels and hand write all my Christmas cards.
Question, i have a buyer that wants to change their shipping adress. They won the auction but have not paid yet. Cant they change their address before they make the payment?
Yes, they can just choose whichever address they want when checking out. You want to make sure to ship to whichever address they check out with. It is very odd that they are asking you to change their address but perhaps they don't know? I would contact them and say something like "Thank you so much for your purchase. Please make sure you use the correct address you want this shipped to when you check out. I have to ship to the address you use when you pay. Thanks!"

Does eBay charge you for the label
Yes, Ebay charges for the label. I can only use Ebay to print items that have been sold through Ebay. Ebay gives a discount on USPS rates. So, if a package is $9 through the post office, Ebay might charge $8 for example. I hope that helps!
