i believe there was a giant Cypress Tree along the Old Military road which eventually died in the 1950s or 60s. It was struck by lightning too many times and eventually burned down. It was near the old Governor's mansion where Chief Gardner lived close to the Mountain Fork River. I've heard families slept under the tree when they finally arrived in Indian Territory. Yakoke!
Another excellent history location and story as well. .thank you Mr Wolf.
You are very welcome
Thanks!
I really enjoyed your video & looking forward to a part 2... Yakoke!
Ome, I appreciate it

Yes, I've never got to see the old Cypress Tree, but I've seen of where it once stood.
Is it possible to see in person the road your standing on.
It can be, but the best time to see it is possibly in the fall time.
How can I get directions to find the road
