Absolutely love this song. Not only is it catchy and well-produced, but the lyrics tell a coherent and creative story that blows most other modern pop songs out of the water. Well done!
This song, Rex Marksley, and Airheart makes me want a sort of cross-over comic or song about the three of them being pulled from their times to work together on an adventure against a common enemy, the Devil, Suspender Man, a being once known for red suspenders and amazing music in another time.
The first song I heard from them was Honeybee, second was Brass Goggles, third was this one! I only heard of them a few months ago, that's how I remember. ^.^
this was the first one linked to me (well, the live version) and I haven't stopped listening to your stuff since. GOD how did it take me so long to find you guys?
Planning on a tattoo based around The Sea Slater from this song! You have no idea just how much this song means to me, and has gotten me through the WORST times in my life!
+Felix Blaksley I think that's why I like it? Just a happy little not-so happy song 😂 It always calms me down when I'm in hospital so I'd like to have that with me always as a reminder I guess! (Plus I spent my entire childhood living on boats!)
Damn, I simply MUST see you guys play live, evidently. This version of Captain Albert Alexander really drags and plods along compared to the livelier music-video version. Also, everyone is much more nasal, and the timing was off on a few occasions. This is my all-time favorite SPG song, but this recording really fails to do it justice. A great song, and a great band -- just a poor recording, compared to the one I'm used to. This is truly surprising to me! Pretty much nobody is better live than in-studio.
Who is the best captain in the world?
You: Captain Jack Sparrow
Me, an intelectual: Captain Albert Alexander
Ah, but jack sparrow is the best PIRATE in the world, so he is still the best on those terms, as is Albert in his own terms
Albert Alexander was kinda like if you mixed the Incredible Hulk with Spiderman, but Jack Sparrow is like if you crossed Deadpool with Spiderman
@@kellywilliam3708 I love the incredible spiderhulk
both + captain hook
You know it's really a testiment to your skill as musicians when your live versions can actually wind up sounding better.
How many of you like FISHING??
That's right.. nobody. :P
I think it’s the drums honestly. It really brings it together full circle but is the major thing missing from the recording.
i remember my guitar teacher playing this song on guitar and singing it during my freshmen year school,i couldnt get the song outta my head for a week
+Tj Walsh Best.Teacher.Ever
+Logan Killion THIS.
xD
Must be a pretty cool teacher

I know the focus is on the song but do they sell art tthey draw? I would spend way too much on it if they did.
Yas.
I like the studio version better because of the intro
Wanted to make it 100 comments on one of my favorite songs.
For some reason. This version doesn't seem as clear or lively, anybody else kind of got that feeling?
sadly live version is better
