  • Here's a few links for my favorite credit cards. I try to check the links often, but let me know if there is a problem. If they change the offer on the card, I may need to update the link. Full disclosure, I get a few airline miles for referring a new customer. You should get the same public offer at no additional cost. Thank you very much.

If you enjoy checking out Bangkok and other SE Asia spots, consider subscribing. I'll continue to make videos showing the streets in Bangkok and beyond. Thailand is amazing and a great place to visit, work or retire. I'll do my best to show you how to live affordably in SE Asia. Plus, enjoy some great side trips from Bangkok.

"TOAT Food Court" = Tobacco Authority of Thailand. the big sheds inside the park adjacent to the government building used to be for processing tobacco. they're now used for sports and various events.

Good to see the old tobacco area be turned over for park use. Thanks for watching

I've seen 2m (or longer) monitor lizards at Kasetsart Univ and at Chatuchak Park. Of course some other provinces have downtown elephants. Wildlife here is impressive.

The local Thai buildings can have really good apartments at ridiculously low prices

This is true. If you can handle a Thai style wet-bath, etc.. you can get some amazing deals

I'm not sure. The only bus I use is to Pattaya. That stops at 10 pm. I think the government bus has a schedule online

All rents are affordable in Thailand in a brand new building if you come from a western country. If you can't afford up to 30,000 baht in rent a month, then you made some mistakes in life.

Some places are closer to 130k a month in Bangkok. You can spend $300 or $3000 a month very easily. I have friends that pay 100k rent. That's fine on an expense account from Sony. Myself, I pay $600 rent in a really nice building. I probably spend $3000 to $4000 more on dive trips, etc.. Some people want a fancy building, others want to visit 15 countries this year. It's all good
