That Thailand Leg of the Season really gave us lots of amazing rallies. Thank God I watched all of those 😂

The first rally, after he saw his teammate slipping and be able to continue to play, his mind was like “you’re not the only one who can do that”. 😂😂😂

Thai men's doubles is an example of a game with the most ineffective moves I've ever seen, especially when compared to hendra/ahsan...
Can't agree more. They exhaust themselves but it's good for spectators watching their acrobatic moves.
From a player/coach perspective, yes they overdo their movement to return the ball. And still, from spectator's view, the feeling of making-it-up is still left behind. Not worth to watch.
But it works so who cares

More watanabe, comeon ShuttleFlash he has enough top class rallies to deserve a special video from you. He is the most talented Doubles player in the circuit right now and we still wouldn't get enough even if you make two or more videos on him.

Such a pity the racket sports dont get as much coverage. Tennis, Badminton and squash are all so great to watch, yet the team sports just seem to dominate coverage. I follow tennis but only watch badminton at olympics, squash doesn't even get to compete at that which is so wrong tbh

I especially agree, but since team sports are always the most popular they get so much coverage. Tennis is pretty popular though, although it’s not as much as soccer or football anything else. It is a pity that the racket sports aren’t as popular because these sports are my favourite to watch.

That last shuttle was in . Hawkeye's tracking of the trajectory is not always accurate .
Budget low quality hawkeye installed just to fill the requirement of the competition.
I don't know what kind of technology they use with hawkeye but they could just LOOK AT THE VIDEO and see that its clearly in.
Can't they just add some high res slowmotion cameras instead of that fraudulent crap?
Or add some electric sensor to the edge of the court that triggers when the shuttle lands.

This sport should be far more popular in the U.S. than it seems to be. I don't know anyone who hasn't played this at a BBQ! I'd rather watch this than Golf!
Many in the US play a kind of 'hit and giggle' backyard badminton, not competitive badminton -- as someone who played a lot of competitive tennis, and then tried competitive badminton, I agree: it is a tough and very physically demanding sport, requiring power, finesse/a delicate touch, agility/quickness, and stamina -- in that regard it is a very underrated sport

Badminton is not something you can play in your backyard due to the shuttlecock being easily influenced by any sort of wind.
@@emericteo2043 Oh, I completely disagree. I can remember some very vigorous games being played in my parent's backyard back in the day. It was withering and fun at the same time. I wish this was more popular as a major sport in the U.S.
@@dennisavent1686 your experience is dissimilar to mine then. On good days with little to no wind, you can get a passable game in. On bad days, the wind blows the shuttlecock every which way.

It was far closer than the computer replay suggests. Looks on the line edge. The shuttle shadow in on the line.

Thailand pair was diving uneccessarily. He could reach the shuttle with a lunge
The court for that tournament was so slippery that if you do long lunges, you cant go back. They are professionals, not entertainers, they would do anything to win, not to show off some random skills they've learned
It wasn't even a good dive , he literally jumped , could've been way worse ,high possibility of injury
@Mister XYZ This Thai pair used to win the Sea game tournament, they’re not that bad having no chance to win. They played three sets when they faced Ahsan/Sentiawan that means they’re not easily beaten.
