Check out Paisley Abbey in Scotland built in 1163, during renovations in the 90's one of their gargoyles was replaced with a Xenomorph from the Alien films, it's so cool! 🤣
Fun Fact: Xenomorph encounter math is NOT a 1:1 ratio of Eggs/Facehuggers to Hosts/Drones. Each normal (Non Queen) Facehugger implants Multiple chestburster eggs that will usually cannibalize each other if not presenting in a host with sufficient body mass. You can actually reach a yeild of about 1 viable chestburster per 50kg of host biomass. (This is also why they ignore the cat Jones... Too Small) This means that you can get 2-3 (or more) chestbursters out of larger host creatures, even humans. This can result in exponentially larger Xenomorph outbreaks than a given infected population would presume, much to the chagrin of combat planners.

Can't be bothered rewriting it all, but the main points were: - The Director's Cut is an extended edition and has extra scenes, so you should definitely watch it. - The actors playing the marines went on a three week training with the British SAS to foster camaraderie and learn how to portray military characters. They also were allowed to personalise their weapons and armour. - Michael Bein was a late addition to the cast, replacing James Remar (I know him best as Dexter's dad). - Vasquez rocks.
In the Special Edition they include a cut scene on the Space Station which confirms why Ripley becomes so attached to Newt so quickly. Also, you see how the colonists initially meet the aliens.
Special Edition establishes the theme of motherhood. Mother vs. Mother. What Ripley would do as a mother herself and why she went back for Newt. Why the Queen went from protector of the eggs to seeing her take revenge for what Ripley had done. Earlier, the reason why the Aliens took over the colony was because Burke had ordered the grid where the Alien ship in Alien 1 to be scouted. Special Edition Newt and her parents explore the section. Find the ship. Ripleys debrief gave Burke the information that then lead him to give the order to explore that section. Which lead to the confrontation between Ripley and Burke
I agree but they are just different genres, which doesn’t usually happen with sequels. And people like action more than suspense, so Aliens is more popular.

Both of these films make more sense in historical context. The genres didn't yet exist, so they had to experiment with what worked and what didn't. Alien has been called a haunting in space. Not sure I see that, but just goes to show how early on in the history of film these were. We tend to judge the past with present eyes, but films like these are best appreciated with the eyes of the times they were created, and that's easier if a person was alive to remember those times. I remember those times. I was a teenager. These films were decades ahead of almost everything else. It's hard to explain because it's nigh on impossible for films to do that these days.
Hi Adam. I know this has nothing to do with this video, but I Gotta say I am loving all the amazing WWE Content on Netflix now. I watched WrestleMania 20 again (I have seen it before, I have been a wrestling fan for over 21 years, started watching right before WrestleMania 20), and I also watched like 4 Royal Rumbles and a bunch of other matches and events and even Big E presenting the best of Raw 2024. Weird how he presented The New Day 10 Year anniversary as if he is not hurt by that and as if it was not him. Kayfabe is apparently dead lol But it was a great show either way. BTW, I found the greatest match ever in wrestling history. WrestleMania 20. (I forgot this match happened lol) Evening Gown Match. Stacy Keibler & Miss Jackie vs Torrie Wilson & Sable ❤ Man Vince wrote some crazy stuff back then 😂😂😂 best match ever though. ❤ Vince gave us a lot of Gold, and as crazy and out of touch as Vince was near the end, he still did give us some gold.
Niiice! Been waiting a hot minute for this one as the kids say lol this movie is a perfect example of how a sequel doesn't need to just be the movie that came before it but MORE lol Guess Joker 2 tried but in the worst way possible lol
Alien 3 is generally considered a dud, but I liked it. Although I have not seen it, Alien 3 has an alternative cut (called the Assembly Cut) with a number of scenes and plotlines that were cut from the theatrical release put back. It is supposed to be the best one to watch.
A youtuber I would highly reccomend reacting to is Sgt Ducky an irish duck man who tells animated stories now a days. The one I would suggest starting with is The Fart that ruined a romance or The Pact Living With The Boys
I respect that. For context, I am someone with songwriting skills that has no ability to sing or carry a tune, so fooling around with that AI Generator and putting my own original lyrics into it has been a bit of a creative burst of inspiration for me. I hadn't written lyrics for years and these days I feel like that skill is starting to really kick back in, and it's great. I just wanted to be clear this wasn't a one click AI song, it was something I put actual human effort into, the AI just brought my vision to life.

It adds some scenes from Hadley's Hope before the xeno outbreak, and a few scenes that make the marines a bit less incompetent. Also, yes the facehugger was absolutely intended to look like lady parts, except it's one that will penetrate you. H. R. Geiger had a look of genial references in his work, the alien head resembling a penis being another example. Plus, the original design for the egg had only one slit with two lips, but was redesigned with three to be less obvious to what it's supposed to represent. Yes, I have the box set and watched all the behind the scenes stuff 😜

XCOM games are the best thing ever. I used to play the 1994 one for days non stop. The new games are also good.
