First time I've seen a sensible sized kitchen. Having spent many years touring in a caravan, that's all the kitchen you get and it's all you need. You just adapt. I now have a narrowboat with a walk through bathroom, sounds odd but it's the best use of space. This Bus conversion is well thought out and spacious.
And GAS GUZZLING - just to move it is a considerable financial undertaking!
AND school bus yellow has to be painted over = $$$$$. Been there!!
Work, tools, time, equipment hauling, $$$.
Used RVs are available for a steal from disgruntled retirees.
They also have a growing CHILD that will need more and more space and a place - for school etc, if they thought THAT out!
Best position of a kitchen in a bus!

GOOD ! SCHOOL BUS
I love the layout, so different from others I’ve seen.
I can't believe how big the shower is! Everything looks fantastic!
Thanks! The shower is cozy!
@@ColaVentures love bus conversions. The shower looks fantastic. May I suggest y'all watch leave her wild, she is also doing a bus conversion. Would like to see a bunch of skoolies do a meet up. And do a video . That would be awesome.
Vou começar a conversão do meu no próximo mês 😅
That's one of the biggest time lapse builds I've seen. The music and occasional people talking really makes it, as does varying the speed.
Quite impressive. If my school bus looked like that I wouldn't mind going to work everyday. Nice Job !!
Thank you very much!
Awesome from start to finish! I couldn't look away... except for the sanding of the floor, actually turned my head to avoid the dust... lol. Credit to your filming!
That was an awesome thing for your boy to see and be involved in!
Omg the best looking shower I’ve ever seen. I want to build my shower exactly like that. Great build👍🏾
Thanks! Let us know how yours goes!
@@ColaVentures hi, do have any links for the shower tub? I would greatly appreciate it
@@ColaVentures yes great looking tub. Where did you find it?

In your earlier videos on floor prepping, you mentioned a product called "aluminum fiberglass air intake tube heat shield adhesive backed heat barrier" to fill the holes with. Did it work? Is it waterproof? You're one of the few who did a thorough explanation on what to do.
We haven't noticed any problems with it so far! Not a lot of water gets splashed up there really.
This is the goal man this is the goal
a tiny house? depends on how you look at it most people nowaday spend their time traveling or Outdoors a conventional house is literally a siiting duck just for sleeping which you can easily do in this mobile house plus you can take it ANYWHERE not a BORING DAY!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
You guys are amazing this is awesome but my biggest concern is buses aren't safe enough
Appreciate the concern but there is an argument to be made that buses are much safer than RVs. They were made to carry children and be safe enough to roll over. Everything is made out of steel.
It's fantastic that you took something old and gave it new life!
We just bought a Thomas saf t liner 2007. And so it begins
Shoutout to friends and family!!!!
Awesome build and beautiful family! This video brought me joy. I’m inspired now.
nice project, you got a talent for this, beautiful family as well, keep up the great work!
Adorable children. Thoughtful build.
Absolutely love it!!🥰 You all did a great job.
Thanks!
Awesome lapse
Looks Amazing
I say cut the bus in half and make the counter frame and bed frame from Polywood plastic! Add some Mid Century Modern furniture and some Atomic Age furniture.
ima claim my place as the 4,000th liker :)
What a beautiful bus!
love it esp. the bathroom.
Vous me faites Rêver. Merci et bravo
Minute and a half in and I'm already jealous. The floor of my bus is hideous. Had to cut all the seat bolts out and nails holding the plywood in. Going to have to attack my floors with a wire brush and por-15 it. Edit: 4 minutes in and nevermind. lol. you're doing that
Amazing job congratulations
Oh Wow. I think you guys did amazing job 👍 Happy traveling.
It’s beautiful 😍 from start to finish
Absolutely beautiful!
Woot! Awesome build! Thanks for sharing. 💜 Lol. I feel so motivated, now. *runs off to buy a bus Immediately*
Do it!
Super creativity
Soooooooo Beautiful. Blessings and Love 💖
Outstanding build!
Very Nice. Thank You..!
All I can say is it's amazing from philippines
The best I hve seen so far
We are in Gresham
Wow that verry nice
amazing work !
😀
well if you put like a latch or something on the back you can attach a sprinter van and have both
I love it
Great video thanks for sharing!
Fantastic!
Taking things apart is always the worst part because it's not fun. Your workmanship is superior and you have all the tools you need. You definitely know what you're doing. Beautiful work of art.
Looks great
Great job
Thanks for the content! I’m in demo phase of my skoolie. Curious about how you secure the car seats for your littles, as I’m trying to sort that out now. Thanks for any tips you can offer!! ❤️
We use these: a.co/d/3zPjFIL Bolted into the bench seats.
Nice!
Glad I work at a lumber yard, I get a pretty good discount lol, I'm building me a little overland camper, for 1 sheet of 3/4 marine plywood, 5 sheets of 3/4 pressure treated cdx, and 5 3/8 pine siding, its only $400
I really appreciate the video and showing us what you have done My sister-in-law has the same exact bus pretty much and we are doing it right now on a budget of course .
We are using the pink foam insulation like you did in the walls I want to know how well that's working ?
I'm also curious why you didn't insulate your floor with the foam board ? Thank you ! Great job for a home built.
We didn't insulate the floor because we didn't want to lose the 1.5 inches in height. I'm 6ft tall so I was already pushing the limit and didn't want to do a roof raise. I might recommend going with spray foam insulation if you are in an extreme climate. It works fine for the PNW where we are but winters and summers are generally more mild. But if you keep all your original windows, going all out on insulation is probably a waste since the 40 single pane windows will let in so much cold/heat. Let me know if you have any other questions on the build!
@@ColaVentures ok thank you. I agree with what you're saying . Here in Texas it gets really really hot in the summer so any kind of insulation is going to help out deflecting the heat and keeping the cool in for I understand about the windows. Reflective bubble roll stuff works great for blocking out the sun .
Amazing!!
This is so cool! I love how you're involving your kid in the build, parenting skills +1!
I'm expecting him to build his own skoolie in a few years :)

God job
C'es bien 👏👏👏 tres bien mon fise
wow this video is so cool! i want to become a renovator.
Thanks! Do it!
Wow superb..great job..
Thanks a lot 😊
Good job.Successful,aamiin.
i would salvaged the seating somehow, somewhere!!
Yea we posted the seats on craigslist for a while and then brought the metal to a scrap yard.
Aπλο και όμορφο!
Darn good video!
Hey man! Cool video. Saw the Seahawks gear at the beginning and then saw you are in Olympia - my hometown. Awesome build.
Amazing! My mind is blown. Are you able to share your total cost? So awesome Cola!
Im just wondering Why does everyone RIP out the Roof/Sealing? If its already insulated? Just wondering???? I to will be doing a Project like this, But Mine I hope to keep it simple! Rustic, and Basic! Then one day down the road I will do an Over Haul.. Solar, all the goodies. But being Just me and my dog, simple is good. Less money the better.. God willing. I DO LOVE this Build though IT LOOKS SO FUN!!! NIC EONE GUYS I SUBBED!!
Sometimes the insulation is moldy and nasty so it's nice to tear out. We also wanted a wood roof. Might just screw wood into the metal if we're doing it again. It also allows you to run wires or lights up above.
@@ColaVentures Ok I get it now. Sounds Good to me. I was just wondering so when I get my Bus I will do the same! Thanks!!
I helped my friend take the seats and floor out of his bus... ended up using my milwakee 1/2 impact on full power in the wrong direction to brake the heads off the seat bolts because losing them was not working.
Yea that sounds about right lol.
That is cool. Also they are my peeps cuz they painted it black.
Dont forget to get that peace of safety equipment.....

Love the kid !
Thanks!
Love the kid !
Great build and including family is awesome! Two questions... Didn't see it in video, but did you insulate the floor at all? and will you do solar?
I have thought about the idea of solar but I haven't ever gotten around to hooking it up. We did have an inverter and batteries that were charged while driving or when plugged in but now we are fully connected to shore power while we rent it on AirBnb. We didn't insulate the floor. I couldn't spare the headroom and didn't want to do a roof raise.
Good
nice ❤👍
Like from Brazil - Mogi das Cruzes city - São Paulo state.
Do you guys have a floorplan for the bathroom? I wanna replicate for that room alone🥰
Wow
Dream to live in buss house
Could you show an inside drawing of the bus
Want to do this for my family so bad but I have none of these skills or anyone at all to help me 😭😭
ColaVentures, I didn't see in the vid whether u had an onboard generator or not, maybe I missed that. Would be a must for off grid camping, right? If u have one, what size and make is it? Thanks, and great vid and build!!!
Thumbs up 👍🏼
Why'd y'all remove the stock roof? Looked like it had plenty of insulation
Making the dream into reality
Are you living in there or using it as a vacation getaway?
How can you know if the bus will continue to drive long enough for your trip when you buy an old bus ? Like what if you do all this work then the transmission just dies
It’s a risk but busses tend to be quite reliable and if you do your research and buy from a school district they are pretty well taken care of. And if you have to replace a transmission it wouldn’t be too different than reroofing a house or other maintenance on a house.
Ehm, i want to build somethong like this but with a scania engine... can the bus handle that power of a truck/lorry engine???
thinking about doing something like this. how much did this all cost?
thumbs up for a thumbs up!
Kkkkk foi fantastico
Love the build! What brand of refrigerator is that?
it is an igloo - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LWZMC7G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
How do you get power? Like is it solar paneled or battery or?
Right now we are connected to 50amp shore power. We did have a battery system installed but no longer need/use it.
What is the black paint like thing you're putting on the floor and what's the purpose?
I think it's called POR15 it is rust preventative
