I'm a wheelchair user, I have an incredibly strong upper body & I'm at perfect nut-punch height. So far I've not had anyone try to take my chair but I would fucking love to see them try.
I only know the ADA laws in regards to service dogs, but isn't there a law protecting people with wheelchairs? I have no idea. If so, then this entitled woman is probably next going to deny she is violating federal law because she is a mother with a child who wants the wheelchair so he doesn't have to walk. Then again, it sounds like they aren't in the US, so I'm not sure, I'm not familiar with international laws about disabilities or anything of the sort. Either way, if this entitled woman gets thrown in jail, then she might not want to say why she was put in there, other inmates might not like her reasoning. Then again, would she be smart enough to keep her trap shut?
DigiDrifter I wish there was a law protecting people in wheelchairs. Sometimes people even grab the handles and try to move you without even asking. It’s awful.
@@edwardparkin4823 I say that definitely has to be a law, touching a strangers wheelchair and moving them without permission? I'd say they're invading personal space, and what if the person in the wheelchair is extremely sensitive, the wrong move by an idiotic stranger could cause traumatic stress.
Hey, a good wheelchair (probably tailored properly for the user to minimize the discomfort of having to use it) requires a lot of labor and expensive alloys. The times for crude steel-tube wheelchairs with generic leather seats are gone (and rightfully so).
They can actually range up to 1k too, depending on what you actually pay for. You *can* buy one for cheaper, around say 100, but the quality for that is definitely not going to be up to snuff. And with a disability like the OP had in the story, paying that much is more than likely way worth it rather than settling for a cheap version.
I think it's too much. Where I live it's available in installations for the full price of 65 Euros. Unless of course she has a high tech wheelchair like professor X
That first story was SO frustrating. I have EDS too, and it’s _NOT_ a joke. It hurts so bad and is a daily nightmare. I’m not at the point where I need a wheelchair yet, but I do have to use a walker; and I’m only 18. People like that entitled mother make me SICK, and hearing the words “fake” and “pathetic” made me feel so sick, because I’ve heard it a thousand times before.
3:20 EK: Mommy if she isn't sick then she does not need her wheelchair right The girl: Well none of you are sick either so move on it's my wheelchair Logic!!!
I work in private security and I would strongly recommend that every single person learn exactly the amount of force they are legally allowed to use to stop these types of crimes.
I am disabled and have heard every “free money for crips” argument there is. But, though I am not yet 50, and look healthy enough to work, i have not been able to for 20 years due to frequent hospitalizations. I have been on disability since then, and two years ago, entered a nursing home. Don’t judge what you do not understand. If you are disabled and cannot work, that is ok. I do volunteer projects at church, currently I am the online greeter for our church service during the pandemic. I also make greeting cards, the best hobby ever.
I look psychically able, but, due to some medications I'm on, I can only work part time. One of the side effects is fatigue, in other words I get tired easily and quickly. Just a few hours of work can leave me drained for the rest of the day. So, as soon as I was old enough, my mom applied me for disability. I also have autism, so interacting with others isn't easy. I've broken down completely once, broken down a little a few other times, and was close to it a few others. I like working, but it isn't easy.
Honestly.... I swear if I was in that situation doesn’t matter how I’m involved... that mom would need a wheelchair to get out of the grocery store...that’s just plain ass not acceptable behavior from an adult ON MANY LEVELS, and if her parents didn’t want to teach her how to behave then I will.

Not sure that’s Satan’s job, but he could maybe forward those complaints to God, however, Hell has some pretty bad work conditions, so it may take a bit, and even then, Satan and his former boss aren’t quite on good terms, and definitely won’t be for the foreseeable future. So, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like those prisoners requests would come to fruition.
I’m pretty sure there are criminals who wouldn’t have the audacity to hurt a person in a wheelchair. Edit: Thanks for the likes guys, this is my first time hitting 1k!
I worked in a county jail, and I can tell you there are criminals who are in jail for things like assault and so on, and they'd GO OFF on someone trying to hurt a child!
For the record, having someone try to force me to give up my chair for them is a legitimate fear for me, same level as being harassed or stared at for it.

When op started talking about all the joints that went out and how much pain she was in I was crying because I know it's happened to my friend too... I would've absolutely slapped that mother so hard!
@@Stingray-hx9xw Even if they know the disease exists, they like to downplay the effects. My pc actually told me that "EDS can't cause that much pain." I felt like telling him, "pick 5 joints, that's how many of mine dislocate on a good day, and after we dislocate them, if you can tell me that they don't hurt, then I will give up trying for quality of life improvement." I've had many major surgeries, starting with my left knee at the age of 15. My spine now dislocates, forcing me into a cervical collar, and walking aids/wheelchair. I've had someone try for my wheelchair twice, and my walker once. I can't even remember how many times I've had to prove my parking placard is mine. I no longer drive myself now, but I've had the placard since I was 15 (I'm 36). Bonus, EDS isn't in the disability blue book, so it's actually really hard for someone with EDS to get benefits. I haven't been able to live alone or work since I was 21, and I'm almost completely bed-bound now, but I'm not disabled according to my state.
When it's so obvious that the person is guilty and there is no way around it, then the lawyer's job is more to lessen their sentence than prove them innocent. (I looked this up for a story I was writting a few years ago for a school project, so I probably didn't remember it 100%)

also, kudos to the employee. I know it's hard when you aren't used to issues like that; but, to step in and do what they can... and also to be so forward and gentle with questions about something that might be painful to the op? awesome jobs on their parts.
@S Z. I believe I read it in a comment by the OP on the Reddit story. Looking now, Reddit says the post was removed because it linked to a news article identifying EM. Perhaps I got the info from the article. Edit: the full post is still visible in the chrome amp page, though the linked article is about a different event.
I have dislocated both my knees (each on separate occasions!) and it is so incredibly painful I cannot even begin to think about how much pain that person may be in if practically half her body to get dislocated
I agree.I hope that OP still has light in her heart. All if my heart is shining bright to every handicapped person and is shining even brighter after hearing that story
She is in a different case because humans have pain tolerance that when we dislocate something it will only make us uncomfortable but only hurt taking and putting it back in. In her case she been going on with this since birth so she didn’t really build one like us. So when that happens to her it’s like she’s being electrocuted over and over again on a high voltage
Gods, that first story was infuriating. I had to pause it and take a deep breath to not toss an imaginary wheelchair at an unlikable person. ugh. -Bot #203927
There’s probably going to be a special hell made specifically for the EM, where she feels the constant pain of dislocating joints in her legs, with a wheelchair just out of reach. In the wheelchair would be none other than a twisted version of her son, playing in the chair, and mocking her by telling her to just get up and walk, and so she’s forced to endure this pain and suffering until the end of time.
I have a friend with a similar condition but not as severe, it’s horrific. My friend would have her joints pop out and pinch nerves frequently and her muscles were spasming mimicking a localized seizure before she was diagnosed because they were trying to overcompensate for her joints (I wish I could remember what she has exactly but I can’t, it’s a ridiculous long name), she didn’t get it until her freshman year of college when we met and I’ve sat with her on the hospital as she just full body shakes and sobs in pain. It’s horrible to witness, luckily most of the time she’s fine now that she has an electric wheelchair. She often says when one thing pops out several things pop out of place with it
If that were to happen to my child I definitely would introduce the perpetrators to whole new levels of pain that they couldn’t even imagine in their worst nightmares.
@@logicalwren2326 Ahh yes yes you were being sarcastic, I think I can understand. But the "broken legs" part? Sorry pal, I have to take that seriously. Just like what I said, OP has an EDS and that's more than just like "broken legs" okay?
That whole story is horrifying that people with so little empathy or compassion even exist. I feel really bad for the woman and hope her health is alright now.
what's empathy and compassion?can it be eaten?is it more important than greed and selfishness? it is very clear and easy to understand that gods and goddesses walks among us and we all are their slaves...
Me neither. I simply refuse to believe that people this entitled and morally depraved can exist. I would like to see some real-world cites for stories like this (for example, a link to the news story showing where these things happened and what happened when these people showed up in court). Reddit doesn't count as a "news" source. I think about half of these stories are just comically over-the-top and can't possibly be real.

Woman in wheelchair: no, I'm denying a child MY AID TO SURVIVE MY DISABILITY!

I don't know what's worst, the woman and the kid trying to steal the wheelchair or the fact that wheelchairs cost *700 freaking Euros*
Not exactly a vast market for it, and they aren't the easiest or cheapest things to make
Hey, a good wheelchair (probably tailored properly for the user to minimize the discomfort of having to use it) requires a lot of labor and expensive alloys. The times for crude steel-tube wheelchairs with generic leather seats are gone (and rightfully so).
The real problem is that OP had to pay it herself and was exposed to such abuse from a carer and then EM.

I've had many major surgeries, starting with my left knee at the age of 15. My spine now dislocates, forcing me into a cervical collar, and walking aids/wheelchair. I think we've just found the Mommy of the Month (Entitled Parents) for March in the Wheelchair stealing Woman
i'll sue her for the cost of my $400 monitor i broke during this video
Pretty sure it's fake
all I know it is between her and the kid, but the kid Can't march. The mother can go for longer atleast
If that were to happen to my child I definitely would introduce the perpetrators to whole new levels of pain that they couldn’t even imagine in their worst nightmares.
EP:MY SON IS 100× SMARTER THAN YOU
Her:then why he asked me in the first place?
Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh
True
Also Son: In dictionary under privileged dumbass
Get dunked on EM.
random shoppers:OHHHHHHHH!!!
EM: you can’t have that wheel chair if you’re not sick
Also EM: so give it to my son. He is not sick
LOGIC!!! 🤦🏼♀️
Is 2 broken legs a sickness? I tHiNk NoT
@@logicalwren2326 OMG yes.. it is, OP has an EDS and YES, that's a disease. I know you're trying to protect OP but just let me correct you
@@vbaudelaire7325 I was being sarcastic...
@@logicalwren2326 Ahh yes yes you were being sarcastic, I think I can understand. But the "broken legs" part? Sorry pal, I have to take that seriously. Just like what I said, OP has an EDS and that's more than just like "broken legs" okay?
@@vbaudelaire7325 im aware, I have a friend who has EDS, I know its worse that mere broken legs, also... I was making a joke...

One of my dad's favorite things to say when people do dumb stuff is "stupid is a subset of illegal" and I completely agree.

Stories like this remind me how lucky I am to have functioning limbs not just to walk and stuff but to catch humanity's mistakes like that women.
Just a tinnnnnny reminder, you also have a functioning brain
I can’t believe people like this really exist...
Gesundheit, kamerade. Gesundheit.
Same
Catzilla Ya, I’ve never come across people like this (so insanely over the top) in my 39 years of life. There are so many of these, I would love to meet one in real life...
I don't want to believe it either. At the same time, though, I have so little faith in humanity
That woman would be swallowing her teeth if she tried something like that.

Agreed
my sister is in a wheelchair and I WOULD go to jail if that happened to her
if its an em then how does she wear a condom
@@unused7629 the father did when he was born...
If I saw this happening as a bystander I would go to prison
My ex was born without an ear due to... problems. Before he got the final surgery to replicate the ear, people would continuously act shit about his ear. They were bullying him(we were in school), speaking loudly and slowly like he was dumb, made rude hand gestures and called those 'sign language', etc. I almost murdered them.
Did I mention he got suicidal?
My sister isn't in a wheelchair, but same
Omg I’m sooo sorry that she had to go through that!! Tell her I said sorry! 😞😞😤😫 I hope you feel better!
“Give me your wheelchair!”
“Why?”
“My son is tired!”
*Outstanding move*
What EM said , even thought EM can find a god dam trolly or give a piggy bag ride for EM's son which breaks the logical and not Violence way of carrying your chilf
Me: SO????? Can't he ride in the shopping cart?!?!
Em: NO it's full
Me: *looks at it* errrmmm no... No it's not
Bumpkin Noname MY ANGEL WANTS A WHEELCHAIR NOT A SHOPPING CART!!!!

@Frostech. You accidentally added the 'million!' At the end of that reply
I hope he is smart enough to know he has no friends.
If someone tried to steal the wheelchair of a disabled child of mine, it would be *_FULL PROTECTIVE MODE!!!_* It would be safer messing with a grizzly bear cub with Mama Bear present. When I had kids, you messed with them at *_EXTREME_* risk!!!
*Shapeshifts into a random mythical beast*
EM: OMG... that's so fake!!
@@spectralkits7769 Shapeshifts into a random mythical beast? Say what? I said nothing about shapeshifing. I said I would go into full protective mode if my kids were threatened. Still will if I know about it, but seeing that they're adults now, I don't know everything that happens to them.
If shit like that would happen to a child of mine...
Welp, that's a grocery store right ?
And they were waiting in a queue in order to pay...
