ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഒരു ഡോക്ടർ കാണുന്ന രോഗികളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ ഒരു പരുതിയും ഇല്ല. ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ 250-300 OP ആണ് മിക്ക ഡോക്ടർമാരും കാണുന്നത്. ഒരു രോഗിക്ക് 2 മിനിറ്റ് കൂടെ കിട്ടില്ല. നഴ്സിംങ്ങും, മറ്റു പരമെഡിക്കൽ സ്റ്റാഫും ഇതേ അവസ്ഥ തന്നെ.
പുറത്ത് ഇതു 30 ഒക്കെ ആണ്.

GP’s are pretty good depending on the area. But going to a hospital with emergency will be an horrific - 2 to 3 hours waiting in the A&E. But it’s depends on the severity. Everyone get assessed within 30 minutes and then prioritise according to severity and also the waiting queue gets longer if there is an accident case etc come in between. So it’s absolutely disastrous in the A&E.

This Sujith Bhakthan did not have the common sense to buy a proper travel insurance. He was stingy and wanted to save money. He could have easily accessed treatment from the private hospital in the UK. He is so silly that he didn't have enough sense to buy proper insurance. It's the same in India you have to pay huge sums to access care from private hospitals. Imagine paying lakhs and lakhs for cancer treatment and the same treatment maybe better standard is free in the UK and other European countries.

People is mostly rely on NHS treatment so time pressure is more in the UK . So they give important to the intensity of a person's medical condition. Even a UK citizen cannot have treatment in the emergency department for a soar throat. NHS is for the tax payers residing in this country. That's how the system works here. Sujith bakthan should have gone to a private clinic or somewhere like that.

In India you have private hospitals, which are cheap that's because the nurses are paid less that's why in India you don't feel burdened. In Western countries there are private hospitals, but it's costly because you can't pay the medical professionals in peanuts. A nurse in private hospitals gets more salary than that of the NHS. So, in the western countries prople will depend on Governments hospitals. So there will be rush.
People call it system or governance failure.
