If Carol had had some accident, we would be inundated with news about it - we would never hear the end of it! And there would most definitely not be any pictures of Carol in hospital - these people go to private hospitals where security is high.
Carol and her husband have gone bankrupt though, and there's been rumors of Bill being upset that his wife isn't as wealthy as he thought and that he might have to bail her parents out. The second person doesn't and doesn't even appear to have any sign of having one. I don't feel that her mother is involved in the crash. I am not surprised, as Kate has been warned regarding her role when William is King, she is a beautiful soul who wont play there evil game.
