Girlfriend is a huge paleontology buff, she sends stuff like this to me all the time, and i always watch them all the way. VERY beautiful fossil! Very satisfying seeing all that white stuff getting slowly chipped off the skeleton.
Thank you 🙏. I am just learning this trade or skill. I have found a nice deposits close to me and have been teaching my self by just using different styles of brush and distilled water. videos like this really help!!
Prepping teeth is difficult, but its always fun ;) Recently I've prepped a Phytosaur teeth wich was a big challenge because the matrix was a lot harder than the teeth. But the teeth survived :D
Thanks Max. I reckon this one was about 12-15hrs in total. I've got to admit that I forgot to film the bulk of the preparation of main block as I had camera trouble.
@@PalaeoArt what it is incredible how long things like this really take. Videos never do justice as they are obviously shortened but it must take insane patience to do something like that.
So curious on the story on why these two were together. Possible bigger predator in the area at the time this one was scavenging? So many possibilities. Very cool.
Thanks very much. It's hard to say I'm afraid as although it an interesting association, it's not well articulated and both fairly common speices in that formation.
Just in: lost dog poster found preserved on petrified wood post.

@@PalaeoArt what only 12 - 15 hours!!! That’s insane!!! It usually takes me that long with a small ammonite
@@Max-pj4ok even 12 - 15 hours is insanely short! I was expecting at least 40 hours
Thank you for share about the liquid. I was wondering about that! Jaja

@@PalaeoArt thank you for the reply I’m a new collector of fossils and looking to get something like this to be the central piece of my collection
Is the matrix bleached or is that just the lighting?

hello please help me. if paraloid b72 in 30 gram, need how much acetone ? thankyou very much
Nice find. Was this a juvenile ? Its so small.
Thanks Norm. This is actually an adult specimen. Hesperocyon wasn't very big as canids go.
Hesperocyon was the only dog species to keep its retractable claws with all other dog species now completely losing them
