    I was involved in a motorcycle accident last month and totalled my cbf1000. A cager took a left turn into my right of way cutting me off and claims “he didn’t see me”. Anyway, I digress. I’ve been watching your st1300 videos during my recovery and have to say that they are nicely done. The trauma for me is still fresh and I hope that I will be able to convince myself to throw a leg over the saddle and ride again but time will tell. Watching your videos help remind me of that sense of freedom we all experience when riding and in a small way helping with my recovery. Just wanted to reach out and thank you for sharing. Also, the delkevic exhaust sounds awesome on your ST. Keep the rubber side down brother and stay safe out there.

      Hello Youk! thank you for watching!. I just showed my wife your story and we are very sorry for your motorbike accident. We are touched. Hopefully you'll have the courage to get back on the saddle again and enjoy the freedom and excitement of touring new roads. You did make my wife almost shed a tear. Your message very warm felt. I just now watched your 2 videos of you riding your nice Honda CBF 1000 through Trinity Bay and Prince Edward Island,, it is a wonderful area. I'm out here on the West Coast touching the Canadian border. Our kids and grandchildren live in Victoria British Columbia. Your area of Canada is a wonderful area to ride. Stay in touch and if you ever ride again post some videos, I subscribe to your Channel.
      By the way thank you for the nice words all about my videos. They do take a long time to create an edit. Our favorite place to ride is in Canada. The Delkevik exhaust is okay sometimes a little noisy but it is a unique tone. Hopefully you find your dream motorcycle and you're able to ride and ride..... ❤️❤️🤙🤙🏍️🏍️

      Thank you. I totally forgot about those 2 videos. That was my failed attempt all those years ago to become a UA-cam star. The cbf1000 was a fantastic bike to ride and the ST1300 ranks high with me as a replacement bike if I do ride again. I like Honda quality and the ST checks all the boxes for me. It’s really to bad Honda stopped producing them. In the meantime I’ll be watching (and liking) more of your videos and I’ll check out your FB group. Take care.

If you happen to be following MotoTouring World Wide on Facebook, you'll notice that I posted pictures of my ride down to San Francisco. West Coast shipping will put the bike on the cargo ship and shipping it to Germany. Bike should be there in October. And then my new retired life will begin throughout Europe with some rides on ST/Pan-European ❤️🤙🏍️

    I miss my "high tech blender" (2007 ST 1300), but my mission has changed so I traded it in for a BMW C650GT scooter.
    I did my Iron Butt on it and let her go when she had 105000 miles on the odometer, never left me stranded. The engine is like nothing else, butter smooth and very torquey.
    Someone else is enjoying it now and I am very happy about it
    Ride safe!

      Good morning Dimitri. My Honda is also a 2007, with ABS. I just did some research on your new BMW 650 scooter, that is a really really cool ride. What a gorgeous-looking BMW scooter!!! I love my bike. I don't know if you saw my video list but I also have some race track time. I love how powerful the bike is, smooth and how well it handles. I have the fork superbrace which makes the bike feel even better especially tight through the turns. I think today I'm going to take a ride up to Whidbey Island through Mukilteo and drive around the island a little bit and do some exploring. It's my first "real" bike ride this year and looking forward to it.
      Also greetings from facebook.com/groups/MotoTouringWorldWide/ , I approved you last night. Welcome and glad to see you joined our private group! Be sure to post your favorite pictures of your gorgeous BMW scooter. You would be the first member with a cool scooter!! Ride safe on your new ride and have a wonderful weekend. ❤️🤙🏍️

Hopefully one of these days you're able to enjoy a nice ride up to the top on the clear days... Living in Seattle gives us some great choices on where to go, North over the Border into Canada and Victoria BC,,, up to Whistler, or to the Olympic mountains and Cascades. Nice ride. Why do you have your windshield so high. That would drive me batty looking through it all day. Only raise mine in the rain.

      @MotoTouringWorldWide  3 роки тому +1

      Hello Jim, thank you and thank you for watching 🤙🏍️. Yes I know it looks like it's way up. However the camera is below my chin making it look higher. I have it so the windshield was raised up and lines up with the tip of my nose so that my eyes are looking over the edge of the top of the windshield..
      When windshield is also after market from PUIG. It has 2 inches of more material on the top adding to the "way up" illusion. Currently heading to Canada, Horseshoe Bay, Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island, and Victoria. I probably will have that video ready to go in a few weeks, have a great weekend. ❤️🤙🏍️

    I've been trying to see hurricane ridge for a decade. Always there in either the wrong time of year, or this last year they were doing construction on the road so it was closed all year.
    Hard to get a good view of our Olympics and mt Olympus itself.

      When we went up to Hurricane ridge on this day I was really excited ,, plus it was pretty hot. After living in the Seattle area since 1991 this was the first time I have made it up to hurricane ridge. It's best to go up on a motorcycle versus a car. When you have a chance go for it. On the way down I really wanted to take the boat across to Victoria British Columbia where my kids are at but the Black Ball ferry was closed.
      Thank you for watching ❤️🤙🏍️

    At the Edmonds ferry terminal you just jump on without going through the booth and paying? @ 0:44

    • @MotoTouringWorldWide
      @MotoTouringWorldWide  3 роки тому +1

      Hello Dave, thank you for watching. Each ferry terminal is slightly different however this one in Edmonds, just as seen on the video, do exactly as I did which is all motorcycle go around all of the cars waiting and you pull straight up to the motorcycle parking area, then a few feet across just to the left go inside the building and pay and then give the ticket to the guy that was on the booth at 1:07 after the railroad tracks on the right. Normally you just pull up to the booth after railroad tracks on the right before the motorcycles,, pay your for ticket and then pull your motorcycle 50 ft forward. But they don't care if you park the motorcycle and then walk in the building pay and then go to the booth. It pretty much works the same in all Puget Sound very terminals where the motorcycle can always pull up to the booth and go around all the cars pay and then usually you are the first ones on and the first ones off. Works the same in Canada too.
      Give it a try while the weather still nice 🤙🏍️. What kind of motorcycle do you ride 🏍️

    • @DavidLPitman

      @@MotoTouringWorldWide Good to know, thanks! I need to learn proper WA. st. ferry terminal procedure on a bike. I live on the Olympic Peninsula and just purchased a 2010 ST1300 after a hiatus from riding.

      @@DavidLPitman ,at the end of the video you will see the process on how to cross over from Kingston. Quick simple also.. 🤙🏍️

    • @DavidLPitman
      @DavidLPitman 3 роки тому

      @@MotoTouringWorldWide Perfect. I have never been near the booth when a bike pulls up. I didn't know how you would pull in front of a line of cars but now it's clear!! On the ferry ride, do you just leave it in 1st on the side stand when the crossing is normal bouncy? Others have said that's what they do and just be at the bike before the boat potentially bounces off the landing dock. BTW, of course Hurricane Ridge is exceptional. I'm up there to access backcountry skiing and hiking all year! ;-) I have not ridden the ST up yet, but I have peddled a bicycle up!

    • @MotoTouringWorldWide
      @MotoTouringWorldWide  3 роки тому +1

      @@DavidLPitman , yes when you park the bike you leave it in first gear, and then when you see those wooden blocks on the side there by the bikes, you put the slotted step blocks on the other side of the bike to keep it from tipping over. If you ever take the Black Ball ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria you will need those wooden blocks because it's a very wavy ride.
      Hopefully that ferry will start running again soon. Motorcycle rides up Vancouver Island are incredible especially over to Powell River to Earl's Cove along Sunshine Coast to Horseshoe Bay, then up to Squamish, that is the coolest motorcycle rides.
