WoW this ride would be way better than any rmc ever it has brand new elements for an rmc my personal favorite was the element where you dive thru the grass
RMC did and they were looking very close at Son of Beast originally. Sadly the original contractor messed the structure up so much that RMC estimated about 90% of the original frame would need to be demolished and rebuilt for the conversion.
The Foodie Duos - Christila U they did they started way back in 2011 and they tore it down until 2014 so they could have but there would be no banshee and they would not tear down the bat because they already shut it down once
I think all or 90% of the wood on SOB was substandard, hence the ride being demolished after lengthy lawsuits. I've been on a lot of coasters and none came close to the gforces this bad ass put you thru. Rebuild it in the woods Kings Island.
This is almost complete perfection the only thing i would change is no inversion on first drop and add either a heartline roll or trick track at the end
The sad thing is if they were to do this 3 years ago they would not be able to because there would be no banshee and they would not tear down the bat because of its history and they already did
RMC doesn't make loops yet but if this was built they could make it the first RMC with a loop! All they have to do is put a loop frame around it and it'll be fine! Lelelel haha jaja I'm a weird person...
wood wasnt unstable at all.... the reason it was closed was because of reliability. It was constantly down and a very rough ride due to its high speeds. It was a coaster ahead of its time by to much. If RMC was around you can rest assure they would of salvaged this for something with Rocky Mountain.
The return of the loop is just unrealistic. Also, I'd expect a drop right off of the lift, and some overbanked airtime following it in the location of the original drop, possibly an inversion pre-lift, the rose bowl not keeping it's shape (overbanks, airtime), and possibly a corkscrew over the location of the loop.
Neat concept but the sad truth is that Son of Beast was so awfully built that they would've had to pay so much more to an already expensive makeover to even just re-enforce that mess. Great video though, we could only dream of an RMC monster like this.
AMEN to everybody saying this is what should have happened , CEDAR FAIR could not stomach the thought of such a ride -NOT- in Sandusky Ohio ,it's out of the bag so to speak ,knock down Son of Beast and give Kings island an gci make MEAN STREAK the biggest wooden coasterin the world
RMC had only built one roller coaster when Son of Beast was demolished. And I feel like Banshee was a fitting replacement considering it cost twenty-four million dollars and is the largest inverted roller coaster in the world. And the structure of Son of Beast was terribly built.
I heard that one of the initial issues with the ride was the wood used to build the structure was really cheap and cracked easily (idk If it was CCI or the distributor's fault though) so the structure would've had to be completely overhauled if RMC was to put a topper track on it. Now an original RMC coaster with a new layout but with a vertical loop somewhere in it would be an awesome idea
You are correct. Except for the Custom Coasters International part, Son of Beast was built by the Roller Coaster Corporation of America, famous for many dumpster fire coasters like Rattler, Coaster Express, Magnus Colossus, Bandit, Montezuma, and White Canyon. But yeah. Soon after Son of Beast was built, Kings Island tried to sue RCCA for providing low grade material.
Kings Island could have done this, and I think they were going to. They kept Son of Beast closed indefinitely and still up for so long for a reason! Cedar Fair just didn't want to risk having Kings Island better than Cedar Point!
They would have had to replace most of the structure. Son of Beast was a terribly built roller coaster. The structure wasn't very strong. Don't you remember the accident of 2006 when a vertical beam cracked causing multiple beams to shatter causing a dip in the track that caused a pothole like effect and multiple people were injured? And keep in mind, the only other Rocky Mountain Construction roller coaster around at the time was New Texas Giant since Son of Beast was demolished in 2012. And I think Banshee was the perfect replacement for Son of Beast. If they didn't want Kings Island to be better than Cedar Point, they wouldn't have allowed them to build Banshee.
Looks extremely unrealistic and expensive and just a shit layout for an rmc. Everything is too stretched out and it had horrible pacing. Kings island fanboys annoy the crap out of me.
I love how the track goes in the ground at the drop
WoW this ride would be way better than any rmc ever it has brand new elements for an rmc my personal favorite was the element where you dive thru the grass
Thanks for tributing the world's largest wood coaster
Well if only rmc exist already back then..:(
it did

The Foodie Duos - Christila U it existed since 2001
Kings island needs to do do that 2020

Just love how the grass just goes through the tunnel lol very safe 😂😂😂
This is almost complete perfection the only thing i would change is no inversion on first drop and add either a heartline roll or trick track at the end
Kings Island can make a record-breaking rmc of son of beast by outdoing steel vengence records with the tallest, fastest and longest in the world.
The sad thing is if they were to do this 3 years ago they would not be able to because there would be no banshee and they would not tear down the bat because of its history and they already did
Awesome theoretical creation!
That is the largest RMC I have ever seen!!
Ghost of Beast!
Adam Ahmed ooh I like that.
Metal Beast
I got Beast Unleashed, Revenge of Beast, and Steel Beast
You basically made the world's tallest inversion, take that Cedar Point
If rmc did do it they'd probably make it a giga coaster by steepening the lift hill
WOAH THE WORLDS FIRST VERTICAL LOOPING RMC HYBRID COASTER!!!!!
Idk how you did it, but you turned this crappy ride into a masterpiece! 10/10
Eh, could have switched those helix to something better
This Is Competition With Steel Vengeance. Which Shall Win? Idk Ask The GP And The Enthusiasts
RMC doesn't make loops yet but if this was built they could make it the first RMC with a loop! All they have to do is put a loop frame around it and it'll be fine! Lelelel haha jaja I'm a weird person...
Increíble.
What if RMC rebuilds the son of beast but it's better?
Well son of Beast was only demolished in 2012 so they could’ve done something!
Very nice, but AFAIK RMC don't do helices so you'd be losing some track length at two locations.
Really wished they had done this before tearing it down
RMC wasn't around back then and they closed it because the wood was unstable

saleitem I heard the wood was rotting and it was unstable
State inspectors came out and said the structure was not safe and that they could unscrew some of the screws out with their fingers.
Yup I remember hearing that on the news. Sucks such an amazing ride but oh well like some one already said it was too far ahead of its time.
this thing pulls off 5 gs. FIVE. ouch
Lots of coasters pull 5 gs or more
KINGS ISLAND Y U NO RMC SON OF BEAST
Animator Prime The Robot Warrior RMC were called in to look at it and refused to do the project.
insane
Revenge of the Beast
Shouldn’t have gotten a B&M
(B&M girl from Coaster Studios in the opposite)
If only kings island kept son of beast SBNO for another two years!!
Damo Coaster Even if they did, the coaster's supports were in bad shape. And it would have taken millions to fix them.
True!
Better than Steel Vengeance
No airtime
The return of the loop is just unrealistic. If only it could be true
RMC's always look like Figure Skating.
If only
wow
Wwwoowweee my god😉👍😲🙈
Looks fairly realistic except for the loop.
If kings island did this they would have had to put the loop
I don't think RMC would do that though. Although it seems they can do anything.
Hey if i was roc i would do it. it's $$$
Twisted beast
Not even close to what RMC would do to this thing
Makes me sick that they actually tore this monument down.

Elias Mertens oh yeah it was RCCA, I was thinking CCI for some reason
Shut up, you're getting a giga in 2021.
Kings Island could have done this, and I think they were going to. They kept Son of Beast closed indefinitely and still up for so long for a reason! Cedar Fair just didn't want to risk having Kings Island better than Cedar Point!

Look at the forces in the top
Am I the only one who thinks this ride had a bland, bad layout? I don't think a RMC version of this would've been better (and cheaper) than Banshee.
