Oh Darlene. It is so surreal and such a joy for me to watch your flosstube. As someone who watches many flosstubes, mostly out of the US and UK, to have you right here in Nova Scotia is a real treat. I literally live 2 miles past the Chalets you and your sister stayed in. And I worked at the Savvy Sailor Cafe since it opened in 2012, retiring last December, only to return to help out over the summer and just finished up again in mid October. To hear you talk about everything so familiar to me, as well as our common interests makes me feel like we could be great friends. I have attended one local craft show so far, and plan to attend a few more. I gravitate towards painted wooden items mostly, but enjoy checking out all the crafts. Love little Limb Jim.

I love Jim on a Limb! My mom was a big owl lover and he reminds me of her. I used to go to a lot of craft shows ... ornaments and gifts ... but not much now. I have so many "things" I don't know what to do with! LOL!

I am also starting His Eye is on the Sparrow on 1/1 in memory of my great aunt that passed this year on 1/19. She & my grandfather sang & played piano together & this was 1 of their favorites. Love craft fairs & I always buy a little for myself & try to find gifts for others. The Christmas bazaars, fairs, & open houses have begun in VA! I use natural, homemade soaps, so I always do a little stock up of those, & dip mixes! I will start Christmas decorating this week, b/c I decorate every room in the house, & the older I get, the longer it takes. Right after Halloween those decorations are put away and fall stays out until Thanksgiving weekend and then I work on getting Christmas out. Limmy Jimmy is adorable. I don't decorate for Christmas until after the 1st of December. Between I decorate for winter, and it will stay up after Christmas. Anything I have with snowmen and I've started a collection of trees, different colours and materials they take me out on a limb. I haven't been to a craft fair in years but I said to my sister that I wanted to go so we are planning to go to one in a couple of weeks. No plans on what I want to buy, I usually just window shop.

Great Flosstube. I feel the same as you about November decorating. I still have my Fall up, and the weather was so warm, it seemed okay. Today we had flurries, and the Fall decorating seems out of place. I might start Christmas decorating in a couple of weeks. I have been hearing a Great Horned Owl here recently. I never realized they come around more in November. We have a Screech owl in the summer, but there is something about the great horned hoot I really like.
I am new to your floss tube but purchased a few of your chart in the past. I decorate my home in November with my moose cross stitch pieces. I like to see kitchen items at our local Markets and homemade goods. Like pot holders and hot pads. Since they take time to make the decorative ones. I will go out on limb and say I will be hanging around with you in the future.
I love your limb Jim, he is so cute. I also did the same Nessie Mitchell last year but I substituted my own family members name. I do not decorate for November, but I think that Owls would be a great theme. I have not started going to craft fairs. I tend to feel overwhelmed when I go. Loved your Prairie School Santa's.
Limb Jim is such a cute hoot! I leave out mostly pumpkin decorations until I do my Christmas ones. Our big Christmas sale happens here the weekend of November 19. I usually wait until after Remembrance Day before I start any Christmas decorating so my Halloween stays up til then. I believe our first craft show will be next weekend and I usually just walk around and see what is out if I do buy anything it’s usually for myself or something to decorate with. I always end up finding food of sorts to bring home soup mixes or dip mixes just a good day to get out and see all the wonderful hand made items. Limb. Thank you for the video.

I go to craft shows, actually about 20 a year. My husband and I are dealers. We sell genuine gemstone in sterling silver mountings. I also buy from the other dealers. I buy American Girl doll clothes for my granddaughters. Plus handwork that speaks to me just cause I love it. I could make it, sure but want to support the hand workers too. I'll go out on a limb here when I say I needn't buy anything. But, I still do🤣

His Eye is on the Sparrow is such a gorgeous chart..if I ever get the nerve up to stitch something that large I think that will be the one lol I used to get so excited about the craft fairs that would start in October. I always looked for ornaments for my kids..I like handmade ones. But we live in a very small rural area now and don’t have craft fairs nearby. I miss going to them. Do you stitch in hand or in a hoop? Your trio with your sister sounds absolutely wonderful! That is exactly what my sisters and I would do, too..laugh and eat and stitch! Oh limb jim is cute. I do fall and yes I don’t do Christmas till first week of dec or first weekend, just too cluttered for me. Plus I love fall most and my stitching is a lot of fall. Lol when you didn’t remember the name of colour on Walter, i was its grey and then when you said that I just laughed. I am working on jingle all the way! I have the house outline and bran outline done and bit more. I changed snow to white as didnt like ecru on my fabric. I am stitching on a bunny with basket. Lol will get my winter one out soon. Oh man those cabins sound great. Where is it? I drive through blockhouse on way to phsyio in lunenburg! No I haven’t gone as have very little disposable funds and no room in this house and I only buy for grandkids and us and kids all draw names. I may go to acadia one. There’s a lady who goes to the farmer’s market that has sea glass trees and light up they are really pretty.
