Aloha, Lynn. I took hula many years ago when I was a keiki. My family moved to the mainland when I was ten years old. No hula classes were offered back then, but ballet was...I took ballet for years in place of my beloved hula. I love your style of teaching! Please continue to upload your beautifully choreographed hulas. Thank you!
Aloha e Karen, Mahalo for subscribing and sharing your history of dance. I'm so happy to hear that you enjoy my teaching style and that your love for hula can now continue to grow from when you were a keiki. What island did you live on when you were a kid?
Aloha Rosalinda! Mahalo for subscribing and leaving a positive comment from Florida. I think you're going to like the latest video release and you've learned "Puamana." Let me know what you think!
Hi Len! I have repeatedly watched you dance puamana and I admire your way of teaching. I have noticed that the mele has the same tune as the song “seabreeze” although the meaning is different. Can I use the steps you taught using the song seabreeze? Thank you so much.
Aloha Maria, Although the tune is the same, the meaning of the hula, both hands and feet, match the meaning of the song. You could easily just do hula basics to it if you want to just practice the hula with this song. I hope this helps.
