I started One Piece pretty late in the game and only watched this episode a month or so ago. I lost my mind when the punchline of the song happened and Brook is like "no, he's nothing like this." This series took a 3 minute break for a music video that has nothing to do with the story or any of the characters (except Brook, who's fucking insane) to just vibe about a character that we haven't met yet, a song that has nothing to do with the character, and a character that Brook isn't even especially good friends with. This is the insane stuff that makes One Piece so unique. I love this song so much
This song is one of those rare moments where the Straw Hats are just chilling, vibing with each other. These are the small moments in One Piece where they have time and their personalities come out. Like Zoro talking to Chopper in the Alabasta desert about the team being weird but work together in their own way.
I also just started watching One Piece in 2021, I was impressed when I heard the song 'Bink Sake' on UA-cam and that's the reason why I started watching One Piece.
It is a shame that the anime does not use the fact that Brook is a musician more to fill up time like they did in this instance. They can give Brook a whole album instead of wasting time with overdragging everything
