I don’t know about Chicago but I do live in New England.
I’ve voted republican in every presidential election other than Clinton in 96. (It was my first time voting at 19 an Dole wasn’t exactly awe inspiring. Lol)
Unfortunately my state is literally dictated by the coastal areas, our capital city, & the ivy league schools.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when looking at the 2020 map. All of the interior was red but along the whole coast was blue. The coastal areas are more densely populated. However it’s a different population than the interior.
It sucks going to vote knowing that your vote isn’t really going to make a difference. But I still do it because I hope that red line will eventually spreads east. 🤷🏻♀️
