Win or lose, AJ has done a lot for boxing and for many people outside of boxing. He is a role model.
I always try to look at the bigger impact beyond belts and money. We live in a society where young people need positive role models- in this interview, AJ was able to express why he expresses himself a certain way.

@Heragoth hes a one hit wonder. Everyone is getting too cocky. AJ trained for a heavy fighter and had one month to train for Ruiz that's just the facts then he still knocked him down and got caught getting too aggressive. But now hes lost weight and had a lot more time training for a faster opponent. So ofc Joshua is going to win the rematch

We all tell ourselves narratives. Truth isn't just truth, it's perception. As he said, it's about working smarter. The process he described of being caught up in promotion, but now he focuses more on the fight seems to me to more be a matter of focus than hunger. Meaning he may have got distracted or complacent rather than having outright lost hunger.
He also said he sometimes drinks coffee, after he said he quit caffeine...cant trust the man can we !!

@@MoreMotionPod possible but it might be very hard to make it happen because AJ got a taste of that fast combo he always throws,so therefore AJ will be more careful like he did with J.Parker,keeping distance and using his height and power to punch from ditance while receiving less punches or potential combos that would lead to a knockout cuz we now that AJ despite how big he is,he is vulnerable to sudden hard punches but lets not forget that he knocked Andy Ruiz with only a left hook except that for Andy,he haz a quick ability to recover and this is just my opinion,i respect others pov's,may the best man win

AJ needs to do his best wladimir klitchko impression in order to win. Why fight in close to a smaller man? It only opens you up for some crazy shit. Anybody in heavyweights, well mainly anybody can lose to a certain fighter on a certain night, these are giants throwing punches.

Brilliant interview from both sides. Can't put into words how much AJ means to me, which is crazy because we've never even met. There's no other athlete/entertainer that means anything like what AJ does to me. One of the greatest people our country has produced

Really good piece and the interviews were great and got better each time. I have no doubt he can win. As you say, trying to build his brand in America was huge a distraction especially when the US media are trying to discredit him to prop up the fighters they have invested interests in. As he says, his legacy is much greater than a win or a loss in the ring at this point. He's proved himself in the sport and more importantly out of it. You can tell you think a lot of him too and you do the job of being the medium between him and the public really well. Interviews like yours are crucial for a generation of 'gangsters' and young fatherless men like myself to see what it is to be a 'real man'.

If the Joshua from the Klitschko fight shows up, it's over and out...
That's what I don't get, he was in there with a tremendous hitter in wladimir, got knocked down but kept his composure, against Ruiz he got hit and never recovered. He got up each time though so that showed heart. He's just going to have to fight a well disciplined fight, and this time if he gets a knockdown he needs to take his time and not rush in for the kill, that cost him last time.

@@sleazyfellow It comes down to styles, Klitschko is a big slow puncher with low punch output, not much movement and fights in a straight line, throws his punches one at the time, one two's at the most, and no inside fighting, he just clinches when he's inside, he also has bad stamina like Joshua.
Ruiz on the other hand is a fast pressure fighter that throws fast combinations, he has a great inside game where his short arms allow him to punch from very close, great boxing IQ and experience a good chin and stamina.
All of that is bad news for Joshua who has a questionable chin and bad stamina, he had never faced anyone with Ruiz's attributes, and I don't think one training camp can fix what he needs to fix to be able to deal with Ruiz.
I am not predicting anything cause anything can happen on the night, but I I was a betting man my money would be on Ruiz for the repeat.

Joshua and Wilder are the most humble boxers glad I'm around to witness this era. I'm an American but I don't get caught up in the fan craze and down fighters. I respect them both for their character outside the ring. In my opinion they're the two best heavyweights of today
