You should have mentioned when you install the shift light this way you have to dial it to single cylinder mode instead of 8 cylinder. I installed mine this way and it didn't work. After a lot of troubleshooting and research I finally found a random comment in a forum mentioning this. Thanks for this video though, not too many out there.
Does the kit come with those electrical connectors?
Unfortunately the kit does not come with the connectors.

Yes, wiring will be similar on the C6 with the LS3.
Is the same for a 2011 camaro v6
It will be very similar. You will just have to find the coil signal and make sure to wire the shift light to that for proper operation.
