I think it's great that you're exploring the culture and music of your heritage. I don't think it' rude at all to include santour in rock music, because there are those that favor such collaboration as a way to promote Persian music. Since it's not a "spiritual" instrument (like the daf), it wouldn't be considered "rude" at all
