    Many years ago,
Was friends with the sons of a chapter president. Our group of friends would regularly hangout in the clubhouse. I remember one of the first times I met my friends dad, the president. We were all hanging out, drinking, shooting pool. I went on a good run to BK. When I got back a few members had stopped by. I texted my friend, he buzzed me in. -electric door lock. I handed out food to my buddies. The president was making a drink, saw me with the bags and said, “where’s mine?” First time meeting the guy, didn’t have a read on him yet. So without hesitation I handed him my still wrapped whopper and a thing of fries. He said thanks and started eating. I go to play pool. Few minutes later he grunts at me. “Hey, where’s your food at? Did you really hand over your meal?” I said “yea man, this is your place, thanks for letting me hangout and play pool. Don’t worry about the food.” The guy says “well shit.” Grabs a phone and proceeds to order me a pizza, then makes me a drink. Nice guy. Everyone there was nice. But it’s all about respect. And to be clear, we were all 18-21, no bikes, not prospects, just friends of his kids. For legal reasons, the above story is “fiction” no I won’t answer questions as to who, where, when.

I used to work for an escort company as a bouncer driving strippers to do bachelor and birthday parties.
One day I did a 2 girl party at a 1% clubhouse. They explained the rules beforehand that if any of their guys got out of line that I was to stand down and let them handle it.
This made me concerned because I had a responsibility to protect the girls but the party went great the guys tipped well and nobody ever got out of line once.
I used all the respect rules I learned in prison and applied them to the clubhouse and perhaps for other guys that have been in prison on a solid yard you can just apply the same etiquette to hanging out with bikers.
Sorry for the long winded comment I just thought I'd use my own experience about how I survived a very stressful situation in a clubhouse with well over 100 patched bikers

I mentioned before I am not in the local HA. But get invited to ride with them now and then. I also get invited to their clubhouse fairly often. It's pretty simple. I act just like I would act when I'm invited to anyone's house. Respectful, and listen more then I talk. It's not hard. They're men just like you. Treat them and there house with respect. And you get the same back.

Respect, Loyalty, Humility are all great things to keep you on the right track. Power is only given to those who are willing to kneel down to pick it up! Respect all men until they give you a reason not to. Btw I think it would be cool to see you do a video on supporters in terms of proper wear and usage of support gear and how to properly behave as a supporter or even a video on biker/MC profiling and how to deal with police as a supporter or a full patch. There’s a ton of videos on UA-cam of that shit going down. It’s happened to me several times in my area. Really diggin the channel Sosa much respect #weghostin #steadyghostin

What's up man, another great video! A lot of this should be common sense, speaking as a civilian, but it's good that you're pointing these things out for folks. A lot of other civvies' dont know about this kind of stuff and it's important. Respect is respect, period. You respect someone else's house when you're there, and this is no different. Carry yourself accordingly and respect the house and those that are in it equally. About the "bro" stuff; I will say I've seen other civilians get checked for saying it to a diamond on more than one occasion. These people are typically the ones that dont know the diamond as well as others. If you're closer to them, usually saying bro doesn't get noticed. Somebody brand new to the fold? They typically just let the person know that it's not okay at that point in time."don't bro me if you dont know me" and it usually ends there.

I knew that was a crock of shit, here in FL there’s a lot of 1% MC’s and I’ve had the opportunity to go to one of their clubhouses and our president introduced us to them and they were mad chill, we had a good time because our president made sure that we did the right thing and most of us were middle aged adults. Never did I see any animosity or “give me respect and you might get respect type of shit” Glad Chopper Sosa clarified that. Dont show up empty handed, if you are invited to a celebration bring a bottle of something, if its a party make sure to spend money in the bar, if its a charity same thing but consider getting some merch aswell (even if you wont use it).

Is there a good way to show respect when I pass a rider on my bike? I drive a big older Triumph and give other riders the two-finger down salute as I pass. Some reply and some don’t. Should I wait for them to initiate or continue to show respect first as I have been?

    • @dvsmike
      @dvsmike 4 роки тому +4

Depends. You're a solo, so just pass to the opposite side. Dont be in the lane next to the pack for safety reasons nor be in the same lane with a solo patched rider. Put at least two lanes between you all.
If you're patched, same thing for solos but this time you acknowledge the tail gunner at the back of the pack and get a thumbs up to pass. If he waves you back then you stay behind.

As I was learning protocol, and interacting with 1%ers, (I was President of a 99%, which supported a diamond...) I was taught, "Don't bro me if you don't know me." I don't know that anything might go wrong, but I've gotten good response following that rule. I was also taught the "bro hug" should be one hand shaking, the other on the outside of the shoulder, below the shoulder line on the vest, so you don't accidentally offend by hitting stuff on the vest you shouldn't be hitting. Another outstanding vid, sir. I'm glad guys like yourslef, Black Dragon and used ot be Ninja614 are putting this stuff out there for folks trying to learn. Better to learn from you than in person, the hard way. Shiny side up! #Ghostin #StillinAfghanistan

Thanks for the videos. I’ve been riding for a while and there are 2 clubs where I live that I’ve been wanting to look into joining. One is a club that doesn’t wear a formal 1% patch, but everyone knows what the truth is, and one is a support club for them. How would you go about figuring out which one is the right choice for you? I don’t wanna name them on here, but what’s your take on it?

#Ghostin #NC Fairly new to your channel and have been enjoying your vids. I'm also new to riding (just learned last year) but have always been interested in learning about MC culture. I appreciate what you're doing, offering a first-hand perspective as opposed to what the media shows. As for the topic of this video, I think it all comes down to respect. Back in the day, I had friends that repped either red or blue, but I was always unaffiliated. Whichever crew I was around, we just had a good time. I showed respect and never had an issue. Keep doing your thing and be safe out there.

If so, we will remove the diamond from our emblem on game. If you have a question for me I'd gladly reply the best i can. Love your channel!

Good video. I would add not to touch stuff in the clubhouse, like things that may be on the walls, bar top, etc. Looking is OK, because it was most likely put there to be looked at. Always complement that club on the house, or at least find something in there that is really cool looking, and tell them how cool you think it is. And thank them for having you over when you leave. As far as weapons and phones, I've never been in a clubhouse that had anything to say about things like a buck knife on the belt, or something like a spiderco knife clipped in a pocket. If you have a stupid rambo knife on your belt, then that's probably over the line. I have been to 1% houses where they as much as said that they didn't care if certain clubs who they knew well were carrying a concealed pistol, as long as it stays in the holster- but that's not typical. Phones. Probably best to leave your phone outside, or better yet, ask what they want as far as phones in the house. If they say OK, keep it in your pocket. You are not there to fuck with your phone, you are there to visit. If it rings and you need to deal with the call, go outside or in the bathroom. Obviously, if you are trading phone numbers with a member of that club, you probably need your phone for that, so it would probably be OK to take it out of your pocket for that if it was OK to have it in the first place. Don't even think about pictures. Lots of houses will have the rules of that house posted- read it. Bro.You know what? Its probably best to eliminate that word from your vocabulary. Or make sure you don't say it unless you really mean it. And if you are talking to someone wearing a different patch than you, don't say it. Then you will never be wrong. You can play it safest by calling them by whatever name they gave you. If someone from outside my circle calls me that, what kind of day I am having will determine how I react. #ghostin'
