Only a few days ago I read the information with deep sadness on the web-site of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) Ostrogozhsk Diocese of Rossosh and Ostrogozhsk Diocese of Voronezh Metropolitanate, - appeared at 25th of February, 2017. I had contact with Valerij some years before, when I sent almost one-hundred photos in files, showing Ostrogozhsk during the second world war, in 1942. The pictures were teken by a Hungarian army-doctor. Valerij in return sent me several information about Ostrogzhsk, including pictures showing the town now, from the same views, with the old ones I have sent. He was an extremely versatile individuality, as far as I could know from the internet. But this connection were stopped a few years ago, I didn't understand why... Now, I would like to express my sincere condolences to his family, and all the people in Ostrogozhsk, because of the great loss. Rest in peace, Valery ! (Thomas Frics Hungary)
